I have had similar problem with kitchen and bathroom blinds only they don't have strings. Good selection of videos.
If its the roller type they are my next project when i get around to it our kitchen blind is starting to play up

Yes those blinds are a damned nuisance, but great for views LOL.
I agree that there good for views. And was a pain to fix but got there eventually 👍
