    Trying to find some answers on hose size and length. My pressure washer came with a 1/4” 40’ steel braided hose. I’d like to move up to 100’ hose. All the testing I’ve seen has always tested PSI! No one has tested GPM?! No one can tell me if I should stay with a 1/4” hose if I go 100’ or upgrade to a 3/&” hose to keep GPM loss to a minimum! Please help! Thanks!!

      @@notfred596 Actually I had a 3/8 hydraulic hose, instead of pressure hose.
      I got the right hose and it works great now! no issues.. also eventually upgraded the engine to a 22 hp predator runs amazing!

    Hi Doug. I'm running a 5.5gpm pump with 1/2" pressure hose on a soft wash system. What would be the maximum length of hose to use and is 1/2" hose ok? Thanks.

      I run 200 max buy you could go 250 and I recommend no smaller than 5/8 spray hose.

    Im using 5/16 high pressure hose for my 4400psi 4gpm machine and im so frustrated about vibration of hoses. I replaced my cart, even replaced my old AAA pump that went broke and with the new Comet 4000psi 4gpm pump and skid mounted on truck my hoses are vibrating as fck. Do you think switching to 3/8 hose will help? Do you have any vibration problems with 3/8 and 8gpm 3600 psi? I might be switching to 8gpm near future and i dont want this vibration any more.

    The drive system has nothing to do with it. It's ether a self priming pump or it's not. Direct, gear, belt makes no difference. When will you yanks understand that?

    I only use 50 ft hoses. If a 100 ft hose goes bad you buy a 100 ft hose.

      We keep a 50 foot hose has a spare. I always change our hoses out before they have a chance to bust or go bad. So when the outside of it starts looking pretty ratty I switched them out and they become spares for big jobs.

      @@PressureCleaningSch while we have a bit of a conversation going I’ve been pressure washing going on five or six years. This past week or two I’ve been tinkering with removing the recirculating hose and letting it run out while I shut off the ball valve. I don’t plan on buying a buffer tank. So far I like the concept especially after talking to a Cat Pump technician. Is that something you do on your motors

      @@billcoley8520 no I don’t. All mine go back to my tank. On my portable I just remove the siphon hose from the bleach bucket and open my ball valve and lay it on the ground of I need too.

      @@PressureCleaningSch I do not know if y’all have real bad mold that no matter how much you wash on it it will not come off the house, bricks or concrete, but where I live in Tennessee we are surrounded by Cumberland lake. Any way I found a good way to make it vanish. I spray Olympia deck and fence on it. Full strength.

    If you ever going to quick connect your hos you better first make sure they are 100% straight; otherwise they might move to California, get married and dump you.

    I have a quick question Doug I have a 3200 psi 2.5gpm. Should I get a 50 foot 3/8 or 3/4 hose?

    • @PressureCleaningSch
      @PressureCleaningSch  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I believe those call for 1/4 inch. Not sure 3/8 would work. Definitely not 3/4

      @@CJ-og4nx yes. I wouldn’t go more than 50. For that type of machine, you really need to use what come with it. That machine doesn’t have a lot of flow to push water
