Getting into PhD if you have just LS is not possible
You need to either qualify GATE (to get into IITs/IISERs/NITs) or qualify entrance exam of universities to get into them
@@AllBoutChemistryBut Sir as far as I know, from this year the universities can't take separate entrance examinations. That is why the 3rd category is introduced.

@@AllBoutChemistry Sir I have a senior, who qualified GATE with rank approximately around 700 and he secured LS (NET June 2022). He got admission in IIT Madras (Institute Fellowship) and obviously he had a recommendation from a professor of ours.
