- More from my archive video collection, this time for the Class 37 Enthusiast. It was shot on Video 8 on a very wet day in April 1990 it shows plenty of 37 action at Buxton & Peak Forest. I hope you enjoy watching.
Ah the sublime Paxton window..
Wish some one could invent a time machine so I could go back to these days. Miss the ol' Tractors. Thanks for uplaoding.
Another fantastic video Roy, thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish.
Great photography and sounds! Well done for carrying on filming in the rain! It made for a very atmospheric video. Very useful detail shots for modelling.
Happy memories of British Rail. Thanks very much for sharing your films with us.
Thanks for your kind comments, it makes it all worth the time involved.
Omg that was just wunderbar.... Wonder how many if any of those beautiful vintage locomotives survive today?
Brilliant stuff. 1990 The year I started on The Railway. I have spent many an hour, shunting with a pair of 37s. Happy Days.
That's awesome
Magnificent video Roy. What better than watching and hearing hard working 37's? :)
Excellent Roy great footage especially the class 37s on the hoppers 👍👍
It's like travelling back to when I was 5 years old 😯
Miss working on those back in the 80s Crewe locomotive works.
37 Heaven! Great video, thanks for sharing.
Another gem , thank you 👍
Glad you liked it

Excellent footage, thoroughly enjoyed watching from start to finish
Glad you enjoyed it
Class 37, it is a beautiful locomotive. I like it. Awesome video, thank you.😊
Hi Roy, subscribed to your channel a couple of weeks back, thanks for uploading this brilliant footage, brings back some fond memories of visiting Buxton and watching the 37s and the like in these liveries as a young lad. Have visited Peak Forest a few times recently with my dad to have a look at the new stuff but it’s not quite the same. Uploaded a video and hope to get back there in the coming weeks to do some more in the none too distant. These have been a great inspiration and it’s great that you have preserved the footage
regards, Paul B
Pleased you enjoyed the Video Paul, I agree with you, the modern traction is not the same as the good old 37s.
Excellent video Roy my favourite time up P.F, well the stock and loco's may of changed for the worse but the weather and location is still the same
Great stuff Roy...thanks for sharing.
Nice clag!!!
Those 37’s need the idle sorted out as for the 47 def.
Where were the class 37s based? Tinsley or Immingham? Or somewhere else? Buxton presumably was where they were outbased from their mother depot?
They were Immingham and Tinsley out based Buxton loco's in the Aggregate pools, hence Construction logos,
The Immingham pool was coded FABI
top stuff 😅
Fantastic Roy
All gone now :(
Pity it’s closing
Brill
Thanks.
