Again, not for a newer trader, but it's important to consider that all of ICTs models are actually just different stages of delivery within the context of MMXMs and the 2022 model's place within MMXM is as the low risk buy/sell. If you aren't at a logical place for reversal within the context of a MMXM, the 2022 model is inherently lower probability as well.

Correct. So it doesn't make any sense to look for a short in a market maker buy model.
Great point. When it works, it works, but you're waiting around for the cycle of the MMXM to come around for the high prob setups. I say less waiting - more trading.

My Brother it’s more difficult to trade in LTF. Somehow you can’t get manipulated in HTF. I’ve been into 22 model and Still doing it it’s most simplistic approach

This is the first video of yours I’ve seen I’ll continue to check out more I agree though new traders are gonna be trying to play the 2022 model off of the 1 minute chart without using confluences and daily bias truly the way I see the 2022 model working is working down from the daily chart and taking a trade using all of the information you have to really understand where the market is likely to go you can’t just trade because “there’s a fvg on the one minute chart” if that makes sense.

Screen time and instincts also help with knowing which 2022 model has higher probability. If it retraces too deep the way it did that day, I normally don’t take it. There was also 10am news that day.

Could u do a video on top down analysis with the 2022 model. There are literally NO well explained clear cut videos on TH-cam that go down from the weekly, to daily, to lower timeframes. Please consider making a video on how to implement the ICT 2022 model with the higher timeframe.

Thx for the vid, I noticed that with the 2022 model too. Narrative it required to some degree, that's why I really only trade it with the 5 min unless it is silver bullet time.

I used to trade 22 model but since finding out about your iFVG model, that's pretty much what I trade now, combining with OBs & MMXM. I totally agree that MSS is subjective and especially when you are trading in opposing pdarrays, the probability in your favor is low.

This is definitely an interesting take on the 2022 model. Thanks for the video. For me I try to use the leg of the market structure that creates the sweep in the first place for the MSS, this helps a lot with invalid 2022 models. My problem with the 2022 is on the ES there isn’t many opportunities. I am however strictly trading on the 5 min. In the last 3 months I’ve had 1 loss. In fact December so far has been the best month in the last 3 for me.

Exactly, I think this model should be used just for entries, but before that you should be clear of the HTF narrative and the HTF Draw
Your first example… According to the higher time frame this was obviously a buy as the market was creating higher highs. The trend line you drew that is connecting diagonally each point should’ve been a horizontal line and if you did that, the 2022 model immediately becomes a winner

2022 works great - if you follow the rules. Most don't and that's why "it doesn't work". First off, you get your Daily bias. Then to the 15 MINUTE CHART. (Yes, boomer caps to get your attention. LOL) Once a sweep of liquidity happens - in the narrative of your bias - then you can drop to A 5 MINUTE CHART and look for DISPLACEMENT. Once that happens, you can begin dropping down thru the time frames - 4, 3, 2, 1 minute. First one you come to with a FVG, that's the one you trade. Target opposing liquidity on the 15min chart.
It's very specific and if you don't follow these rules - IT WILL FAIL.

In your trade setups is MSS a big requirement for your entries or do you just wait for a liquidity purge and enter off of an IFVG with daily bias in mind?
the violation of the FVG after price is returning to range - e.g. the creation of the iFVG with the creating candle closing - is the market structure shift confirmation in his iFVG model. Dodgy's model's MSS is what many consider the "Type 3". Your traditional MSS/the 2022 model "break the low that created the high" would be considered the "Type 1" market structure shift. Type 2 is similar to Type 3, but usually is accompanied by some form of retracement. When the candle closes after the iFVG in Dodgy's setup is when your change of character is confirmed - no waiting. Less ambiguity. Greater returns.
So, there's always a market structure shift. It's how you determine there has been one that is the distinction between models.

what about the small bullish FVG at 11:10 just before the MSS, should we not classify the bearish FVG next to that which breaks to be an inversion FVG?

i would say that from the point of MSS, you have to look on a chart from a bigger timeframe than 1 minute, because market does not turn to another bias from a minute to a minute. it takes min. 15 min. to do something like a move to tell you that this is gonna be a MSS. it could be really misleading from a 1 minute point of view. do these little time frames to see an entry point for the move that lines with a bigger time frame bias only.

Well, you can say this about every model. Every model has a certain win rate. No model has 100% a winrate so you can't say it failed just because it failed a couple of times. Like every other model, it is bound to fail a couple of times. However, if you combine the winate of the model with the right risk management, you will likely be profitable with most of the models
yes i agree but there are ways to keep a VERY high win rate using this model if you employ a couple of rules of when to take it and when to not
I bet if we see ICTs robbins cup results, you will see a very high win rate from him because he knows this stuff already

The first example can't be valid the first leg low wasn't validated because there wasn't a higher high, a low is only recognized when there is a higher high and the violation of that validated low is a break of market structure

Yes smt are great conformation… another rule that can help is when price is approaching a 15min or 1hr fvg look for displacement on the 5min or 1min chart to confirm the htf fvg will hold.

I stopped the video midway through just to like it. This is extremely helpful insight. So many times I've been in that spot when we have retraced higher into a HTF premium and tapped into HTF bearish FVG or .62 expecting a reversal only to be see a retracement and get stopped out. Great video bro. Only thing I recommend is for new traders to not do their analysis on the M1. Obviously you have experience and can see it fluently. But new traders will take every "MSS" and FVG on the M1 every 3 minutes lol. I know because that's what I used to do and so many others in communities. MSS are stronger and more reliable the higher the TF.

The example u show at 3.57 mins was a stupid thing if i were u i wouldn't use that BSL as a Premium level cuz price turn back by respect discount array before move to it that's why it loss if u wanna test pls test with correctly bias HTF perspective use this model in correctly and u will see the win rate
3:58 Look to the left of your cursor. Do you see that HUGE bullish Orderblock price retraced into? If there is an opposing OB. Gotta be patient. Unless price displaces past and forces sell stops. You have losers inside that OB looking to buying back to stoplosses , breaking even on their trade or just cutting losses. Bullish order block= sellers orders are blocked from profiting... when it returns the liquidation forces sellers to buy. 2022 works.. this dat would've been a loss I look for 60 point displacement on the 22 model before entry. Would've loss this one but ... a pending order at 50% of that OB looks promising its respected
The 2022 model without many nuances is bad. Even if you have the DOL straight nailed the 2022 model can do you in. People are looking to countertrade that model. I honestly hardy think models matter. If you have a solid DOL u just buy lows or highs or just buy wherever and in the long run you’re good. It’s all dol.
