This is too funny! Here n Texas we've been eating pickle sandwiches, pickle juice popsicles and MANY more snacks for ages! Im 45 and remember buying these things a peewee baseball games when i was a kid. 😁 Welp.. glad the folks n NY and other places have finally caught on. Enjoy y'all!!

As someone who loves pickles, I would not try this. The pickle would be overwhelming and overpowering and probably too cold with the only source of some heat coming from the bacon. If someone is obsessed with trying to use a carb free ingredient for the sandwich to replace the bread that is green, then I suggest we use lettuce instead. Iceberg or Romaine would do.

I think it would be easier to take a smaller, thinner pickle (or pickle spear) and wrap your meat and cheese and what not around it. I don't need the shredded lettuce actually. But if you need lettuce, the pickle infused salad seems to be the easiest and less messy option. I used to go to Subway and get chopped salads (before they became way too expensive) and always included extra pickle in it. Delicious.
These people are crazy if they're leaving off the cheese. Cheese and pickle is a classic combo, one of my go-to sandwiches.
