Nice review Shaun! I'm interested in this wheel but I'm on console. I thought the console DD T818 was supposed to release last summer, any idea if we are getting anything for console?
You can use the wheel on any thrustmaster wheel base

Love your reviews man… been watching them for a while… I have a question for you, I got my T-LCM pedals after your review some time ago and part of my break cell got damaged and was wondering if you have any idea where I could perhaps locate a kit?

Are you sure it is a real carbon fibre and not aluminium with a sticker? As where the buttons are there is a different texture which looks very much like aluminium same from the side profile where you measured the thickness, looks very much like aluminium
Someone already disassembled it and it's a Carbon Fiber plate and a aluminum plate
@facundootero7973 will have to have a look but so far looks like a sticker
I have it it’s real Carbon fiber but really thin with glue on the back
Fact Checked there is real carbon fibre on the wheel
Sorry but its not carbon fibre it is a 2ml aluminium plate with plastic carbon sticker placed on the aluminium plate @@facundootero7973

Is there any news on the upcoming rally wheel?
New review. The quick release on the 488 wheel seems to have some fitment issues. The metal flap on the t818 can't close all the way with the 488 wheel. Did you have the same problem with your unit?
Mine also dont close flush to the shaft but seem secure enough and don't come loose.
Sorry Sean but your dropping the ball first you constantly say it’s a carbon fibre front plate then again when saying how cheap it is then you make out Rev lights and dash missing is why it was cheap no it’s cheap because it’s plastic and aluminium with fibre “cladding”

Go simagic for that price! Both thrustmaster and Logitech are both junk. It’s 2024 and they are stuck in 2000 with these cheap designs!

@stefanschuchardt5734 not really when you consider all plastic parts internally. And the direct drive they make is almost 1000 bucks and its fuckin 10nm lol what a joke.
@@nick-dm3if you just bashing Thrustmaster. The internals are all metal. The FFB is excellent. I own a T818, you probably don't and never tried the wheelbase. So please don't judge a book by its cover. Also the 10nm is constant torque, the peak torque is much higher.
😮Everyone this has no carbon fibre anywhere on this rim it is a brushed aluminium plate so if you look around the outside of the rim and on the back of it there is no carbon fibre weave at all so this guy hasn't done his homework on this wheel very well at all, just saying, keep on racing👍🙂🚗

It’s aluminum with a carbon sticker. Other guys take it apart. He review is fine but he’s an amateur. Other people dissect the wheel. It’s all plastic.

Thrustmaster is affordable and has a great selection of simulation gear fit for beginners to pros , you don’t know what you’re talking about at all. 😂 keep hating hater
