Using fillers like "like" and "yknow" doesn't mean that someone is less educated or not well read, fillers can be a part of the natural accent/lingo/slang/diction. Most Californians use "like" as a filler a lot when they talk that doesn't mean that they're uneducated, it's just a part of their local lingo.
