There was an error in calculating the Shazam family's speed. They omitted that Black Adam moved across a large area of the planet in just one or two seconds. So the speed is much higher than that declared for Shazam and can be extended to the entire family, using the same criteria as the content producer.
A couple of points about Superman, The Flash, and Captain Marvel:
1) Superman can also move faster than the speed of light, and has also traveled through time in several issues. He also did it in the 1978 movie. He doesn’t do it nearly as often as the Flash because it requires more effort, but he is more than capable of achieving that speed. He’s one of the only non-speedsters who can actually see the Flash while he’s moving at super speed. We can’t sleep on just how fast Superman really is.
2) You have Captain Marvel ranked higher than Superman because of her max potential speed shown onscreen. But not only does this assume that we know what Superman's top speed actually is (based on a single example from one film), but you also failed to consider that Superman can achieve his top speed almost instantly. Top speed and top acceleration are two different things! While Captain Marvel may have the ability to reach incredible speeds over a certain span of time, she does not have the ability to accelerate as fast as Superman or any of the speedsters. From a standstill, she would not be able to dodge a punch by Superman, where as he could dodge any of her attacks. Superman can not only fly fast, but he can also perceive other beings moving as such speeds and react to them accordingly. There's no evidence that Captain Marvel has that ability. Her powers would not enable her to perceive or react to speedsters or anything accelerating that fast. She would not for example be able to track the Flash while he was running, whereas Superman can.
3) The major difference between Superman and The Flash (and why the Flash will always be faster) is that the Flash can enter the “speed force” and Superman cannot. In the DC Universe, a “speedster” has the speed force. Superman is not a true speedster, although his powers allow him to achieve similar feats. However, Superman can only achieve beyond light speed while flying outside of Earth’s atmosphere. He is still affected by the normal laws of physics which make it impossible for him to achieve light speed or beyond while affected by atmospheric drag. If he did, he would most likely destroy the Earth in the process. The Flash meanwhile is using the speed force and his molecules are vibrating so fast that he can phase entirely through the air easily (or even solid matter). He is essentially in another dimension where physics are different. He can run faster than Superman can fly, and he can break the time barrier without ever leaving the ground.
Question ❓ If Captain Marvel is up to her max flying speed after reaching top speed how can she see where she's flying, when she can't even see the Flash(according 2 u)when he's running?
What if superman was closer to a larger and hotter sun
not only that, but superman has flown to other galaxies in seconds. althoughth by default the flash will always be the fastsst,
@Johnadams20760 on a normal day the flash is faster. But if superman is around a blue sun or is closer to a yellow sun, he becomes faster. There's no limit to his speed, he has no access to the speed force no matter how fast he flies while the flash can only run a certain speed
Lmao bro really got hurt so he had to write the whole essay. Don't worry I didn't read the entire thing in case you'd say "you read it"🤣

The Flash may be the fastest man alive , but remember in the original Superman movie, he flew around the Earth so fast, the Earth spun backwards.
the earth didn't spin backwards. why do so many people not get this? no no no, he flew FASTER than the speed of light. and therefore he was traveling back in time, and the earth going backwards was from his persepective of time reversing
@@Johnadams20760Time is indeed relative.
@@Baddknewz 100% agree but from the point of view from the observer which is us the earth wasn't spinning backwards he was traveling back in time
I remember that
fun fact: if someone reversed the orbit of the earth he would not be reversing time, he would just kill everyone on the planet instantly.
That QuickSilver Scene is to me, the most iconic badass speedster cinematic scene I've ever seen!
Superman went back in time in the original movie. He flew around the earth so fast it started to turn the opposite direction and somehow that turned back time.
Trash
Yes, I saw that movie. Agree with you.
It’s better then some of the modern day DC movies
Did he fly so fast Earth went the opposite direction, or was time going backwards which made Earth appear to be turning backwards?
@@pattycake520 hmm interesting question. I always just imagined the earth going backwards but you could be right.
I have to bring up the scene from the 1978 movie "Superman" where he flies around the Earth fast enough to reverse time. This would have to put him on at least an equal level of speed as Flash. You could argue that 1978 is not "modern era" but Superman is Superman.
No lol. That's a completely different means of reversing time. Supes there reversed the orbit of the earth, hence reversing the time of the planet. Which doesn't really make any sense, and is not really dependent on speed.
@@Dudotskiiiiii
Nope. He went so fast he traveled back on time and as a result the Earth looked like it was going backwards.
@@stephenolan5539 Nah you can literally see the earth going to the direction he flies in. You can also see him flying again in the opposite direction right after to "correct" Earth's orbit. If he was just flying so fast he reversed time, then all he needed to do to stop travelling back in time was to stop moving wouldn't he? But no, he had to travel just as fast in reverse to get the orbit of the Earth correct, and hence getting time to move forward again.
It's wonky physics based on a faulty knowledge, but it's still an emotionally powerful scene!
@@Dudotskiiiiii
That's not what they intended.
The Earthbwas going backwards because time was going backwards.
It simply didn't look like the writers intended.
@stephenolan5539 Your answer is correct👍🏻
The speed of light is 186,000 miles per second - not 86,000 miles per second, so that more than doubles Flashes speed as stated here. In the comics, Superman can also exceed light speed as well.
A lot of it's calculations are wrong... it says Mach 10 = 12000 MPH but it is 12225 KMH (With Sonic)
Superman shouldn't be that fast, they tend to make him too powerful.
@@lewis20002000 superman has always been fast he was the first lol, others came later supes is still way way slower than flash

Metro man from megamind. Bro literally stopped time to rethink his entire life choices
He didn't stop time. He was moving at such a high rate of speed that he managed to do all those things while everyone else around him appeared to have stopped. A similar situation happened in the original Star Trek series 'Wink of an Eye.' In that episode, normally invisible time-accelerated aliens take over the Enterprise.
Wow❤ These are some serious calculations buddy 👏👏
Who is doing this math? Saitama jumped 238,000 miles in 19 seconds, Captain Marvel took 30 seconds to travel 7,900 miles, yet she is faster. WTF! I dont feel like taking the numbers and doing the calculations, but that shows that Saitama is moving about 30 times faster then her.
Exactly this is so confusing???
But her power came from space stone which should give here the power of the space stones movement she should be one of the fastest characters but they ruin her story left and right in the last year

great video.
I always liked the squirrel in Over the Hedge when he drinks caffeine, he can outrun the security lasers by a very comfortable margin.
So he must be exceeding the speed of light, in an atmosphere at least.
Matpat actually did calculations, and the movie sonic actually reaches near light speed, based on where he goes from Montana to the middle of the Pacific Ocean and back, in a matter of seconds (however it’s possible he wasn’t going very hard so he could be faster)
why sonic is the goat💯💯💯💯💯💯
Game is faster don't get me started on archie cause vid game sonic almost outran a sudo black hole being ecsosted*and achie has infinite speed and stamina

The Flash being the fastest man alive is no secret.
Well, he exceeds the speed of light, which means, that he can generate hella lot more than infinite amount of energy (anything with any amount of mass needs infinite amount of energy to travel at the speed of light.) He his fastest of anything.
How much force is exerted on his legs when his foot hits the ground at light speed?...and how came his legs don't shatter? ...but a bullet to the leg is enough to stop him?

How about when Superman flew so fast that he went back in time to save Lois Lane?
I was thinking the same thing.
Yeah I thought about that too. Superman also reversed time!
Exactly surely there are some missing points when they make this list. But this list is fair enough. Only thing i dont get is why they considered anime series one punch? Little mismatch. If we consider comic feats for other characters superman is no 2 and flash of course no 1
Video creator obviously didn't exist before the turn of the century. Superman flew around the Earth about 2 dozen times to reverse time within a min and another 2 dozen times to bring it back to normal time.
the logic was i little weird about how he did that, but he flew around the earth faster than the speed earth spins so that it would turn the other way, which somehow made the time on earth go backwards. so he wasn't moving at light speed, but just over 1,000 mph
It's an interesting concept to me, that the writers have decided moving a certain faster than light speed is what makes time travel. Rather, it would make more sense if he could time travel by running fast, rather than because he's running fast. Like, a separate power than his superspeed, but superspeed is just the method of pressing that button. Running ftl logistically doesn't send you through time or to alternate realities -it just makes you ftl.
So, I guess it would work like the DeLorean in Back to the Future. 80 MPH is how it time travels, but it doesn't time travel because it's 80 mph.
Saitama can also reverse time, as shown in the manga, after defeating garou, he reversed time by travelling faster than the speed of light in order to save the world

We can also take into account other feats of the characters, in which, of course, Flash wins, as in the CW, I think it's 4th season (it wasn't the prime of that Flash yet), an atomic bomb exploded, and he spent hours and hours moving and thinking about how to stop the explosion that had already started, or in the comics, in which he saved 500k people in a microsecond, also when, from the other end of the universe, he made a race with a teleport user and won (with a little help, but in the end it's still his feat).

93 million miles is the distance from the earth and the sun
it takes 8 minutes and 20 seconds for light to reach earth

Superman raced flash in smallville and barry lost
@@REHABEAMNAMBAHU Speedy Gonzales is faster than all of them.
You are right but Superman told berry we race before berry told him I was holding back go like it up
@@rayharvey1330 definitely 😂😂
Superman turned back time...in the FIRST Superman movie 1978.
I don't care what nobody say my favorite will always be Sonic the Hedgehog and his true powers from a cinematic movie and Sonic X

@@sdp640every character here is fictional. What's wrong about liking Sonic. 🤷🏻♂️
I agree
@@sdp640ne could say we are all children liking these FICTIONAL COMIC BOOK/VIDEO GAME CHARACTERS, Dash is an animated character, and nothing is said SONIC IS A VIDEO GAME CHARACTER, nothing wrong mentioning him.
One you missed, though it's generally in space and via flight, is the Legion of Superheroes' Dawnstar. She can definitely fly faster than light.
What flash did n that movie bringing back the world made him my fav of all time
Can you do a comic book or manga version please ?
yES WILL DO...

If Shazam can cover 10 miles a second, how on earth did you arrive at 990mph?
10 miles per second
x 60 = 600 miles per minute
x 60 = 36000 miles per hour.
Lol and then he goes on to say Saitama travelled 230,000 miles in 19 seconds, which he says is somehow about half the speed of captain marvel going 7,900 miles in 30 seconds. Idk what math this guy is using, but it is ALL over the place. It's like he used a different, random equation for every character. Didn't even google the speed of light.
I don’t know I thought metro man was the fastest or fry from futureama when he drank his 100th cup of coffee
I think you dud the McCurry calculation wrong. If she ran a distance of 2,800 miles in just a few minutes, she had to be going way faster than 2,800 mph. Otherwise, it’d have taken her an hour flat.
Flash is so fast there is no phisical way to measure his speed. In comics he could run so fast to puch holes in space-time and enter other universes. Nontheless, 1978 Superman was crazy fast in final scene when he reverse time going around the earth multiple time a second. So 1978 superman should be probably nr 2.
Correct. Based on movies alone, Superman has demonstrated the ability to exceed light and reverse time.
Being 2nd place to the Flash is not an insult. It's freaking awesome.
This is where there are factors to consider when it comes to determining how fast a character actually is. Before "Crisis on Infinite Earths" the fastest someone could travel in the DCU was just under the speed of light. Once you reach the speed of light you don't go any faster, instead you start to travel in time. That's how Superman, as Superboy, was able to travel to the 30th Century and back.
How bout the camera man, he's so fast that he always ran multiple times before the flash.
Flash is so fast...his Air Jordan sneakers evaporate at light speed.
That’s true the camera always wins.
Superman flew so fast once that he broke all the barriers of time and space until there was only one left, so the Specter had to appear and stop him because Superman would have invaded the forbidden realm of God (or the Presence, which in fact it didn't have that name at the time)!!!!!!!
What happened to super Sonic? the guy can summon a chilly hot dog with a hint of lightning.
You forgot Goku from Dragonball. He has the warping(instant transmission) ability 🤣
and just with his normal speed, he travels quintillions of times faster than the speed of light supposedly
dragonball is on another level, forget about goku imagine how fast are angels such whiss lol
Superman speed is immeasurable.
Saitama isn't fast, everything just gets slower.
I did some calculations and nobody is faster than the cameraman 😂
I didn't think that you'd go to the anime world, but there are a lot of fast guys there. Kakarot is basically faster than the flash. Research on that.
La lista habla de velocistas, no de personajes con teletransportación.
Es un poder completamente diferente, y el Flash de Wally le ganó a unos "celestiales" de DC que se teletransportaban.
Así que igual gokú pierde
Keep dreaming lol.
I saw Superman fly from Earth to the sun in less than 10 seconds. That's a distance of 94.493 million miles 😮
u cant base measurments on actual astronomical distance like this cuz its all fake and they just want to save screen time. imagine how boring if the accruately showed how long it would take superman to get to the sun. If superman can travel around the world in 5 seconds it would take him 440 hours to reach the sun. And since movies are less htan 3 hours long uusally they had to fail at math for the movies sake.
For me roadrunner "meep meep"😂😂
the camera guy managed to capture all their speeds
Goku and most of the z fighters would easily take most of this list, power scaling has never been the anime strong point but in the manga Goku moved from 1 side of planet namek to the other in 1 second and namek is 4x the size of earth
Pit where he currently is having mastered Ultra instinct
Yeah, the Z fighters probably could, but the feats in this list are not the most impressive ones, just the easiest to calculate
