I bet that crushed almond body wash is great, but putting a major allergen in soap is so ridiculous. My kid is allergic to dairy and washed his hands with “milk & honey” soap in a public bathroom. Ok you should do more baking videos. I love that you are so precise in your baking. I learned to cook and bake from my grandmothers. They rarely measured anything. It looks right, if not and a little more of whatever. Recipes were all in their heads, this makes replicating interesting. Cream of tartar will give the cookies “lift” grandma term.

Hi Jen, i never comment on your videos as I am a silent watcher from the UK but I decided now is my time to comment. All positive I promise... First things first, I find comfort in your videos and I really enjoyed your reset video you did the other day, so much so that I shared it with various people to make them watch it too. As for your advent calendar containing the almond shower gel and the nut allergy thing, i completely get you. I am allergic to strawberries which is exactly why I didn't get "The Body Shop" advent calendar for myself this year - I don't know if you have The Body Shop in America but most of their products are fruit scented products so it was pretty much guaranteed all of the advent calendars in various sizes contained at least one strawberry product which is a shame. You said in one of your vlogs about how you were going to keep your advent calendar and refill it next year, it has given me inspiration to do the same next year with my wooden one that I usually put chocolate in as self-care products will be more exciting than a daily chocolate fix. Sorry for the long comment, I guess me being a silent watcher has resulted in this long one. Happy Holidays xxx

Not quite sure why, but that sign off brought tears to my eyes as I’m rocking my son to sleep and listening to the video in an ear pod.. “Remind yourself that you are fearfully and wonderfully made.” Thank you ❤ Joel Ansett has a song called “Wonderfully Made” that I think you would like. Makes me weep every time.
Really enjoyed ‘cooking with Jen’ 🍪 I still use the hand written( on the back of a Christmas card) Christmas cake recipe my mom wrote for me many years - she used to bake them then I took over when it was too much for her and made us, her and my brother & sister in law each a Christmas cake. I know the recipe by heart an don’t need to look at it but I get it out every year and it’s sort of like she is with me in the process. ( soak all the fruit for at least a week in sherry first to make it juicy!!!!) it’s always a delicious Christmas cake and I still bake one for us and my brother now. I’ve been making batches of mince pies since mid November as we enjoy them at this time of year too - I’m in the UK. 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄
Not sure if you’ve tried baking with gluten free flour but it works great! I bake for my daughter who has to eat gluten free. If you buy a 1 for 1 gluten free flour, it’s an easy swap. It works great for cookies, cakes, and bars. Thanks for sharing this recipe; I’ll give it a try. 😊

The scrub with crushed almonds should definitely be avoided by people with a nut allergy as should any face/body lotion containing almond oil. I agree with you absolutely that there should have been a warning. My son has a serious nut allergy. I hope the manufacturers watch your video. The cookies look great.

I bought a paddle mixer attachment that has a rubber "spatula" along the edge that scrapes the bowl as it spins. It really makes a difference.
