LEXUS GX460 Secondary Air Injection Pump Filter Replacement - Avoid Costly Repair with Mod

The OEM filter in the secondary air injection pump on the 2013-2019 Lexus GX460 will degrade and clog up your system. This results in a very costly repair. Fortunately, you can easily avoid this failure in your vehicle with a very simple DIY aftermarket modification. Total investment is $20 and 10 minutes of effort. I simply purchased the filter from Amazon (link below), removed the original foam filter from the GX, and replaced it with the new filter. No more filter degrading and system clogging problem!

That filter cover at the end seems to block a lot of the filter. Have you gotten any error codes yet from that, or any issues?

They have these secondary filters in 2012 tacoma single cabs- changin out those foam will save you money in the long run 👍🏽
