As a Memphis resident myself... it's safe to say that this is considered our version of black metal
I grew up on both memphis rap and black metal like frs frs 💯
As a fan of black metal, I can say this is accurate.
Exactly bro tell em
How do you explain the people who stumble upon rituals and ceremonies in the woods at night or inside of abandoned buildings? Truck full of chopped up body parts etc.. even the lyrics and heavy metal speak on shit like this. Those people partaking in such ritual and ceremonies, are doing this based on beliefs alone or is this “evil magic” a proven working method? I notice how beautiful the natural landscape is there in Tennessee and can’t help but wander, why is it so evil ?
Look up trap metal most of it at least from us black folks is nu metal/trap drill inspired but there is a lot of different sounds in the genre a couple being death/black metal mixed with 808,s high hats and niggas waving guns with a token Ohio metal head lol shits Wild
"n-words of destruction" has now become one of the funniest sentences I've ever heard
There will never be an alternative to nigga that's less jarring than nigga. "Neighbors of Destruction" would have also been funny though.
Probably top 5 hardest tape too easily
Dude was scared 😂
I liked "N words don't die: Part 1"
N word kreep. Koopta Kanicca
they were smoking blunts and watching horror movies and free styling . I think more than likely. Getting stoned and talking urban legends is clasic.
Killing too
Yeah they were actually catching bodies. No one cared because they were black though. 80s and 90s was alot of 'oh well, not our problem' when it came to deaths.

Then one video popped up "Proof Paul died and was REPLACED" or some shit, Video started with a picture of Paul and then it slowly morhped into Yoda.
Watch the documentary "Paul McCartney is Really Dead." There's hours of audio of George Harrison explaining exactly how they replaced him because MI6 made him. It's super interesting, the tapes have been authenticated

Making art that expresses your disturbing part of your imagination can be beautiful in its own right. And like the video explains it’s also a healthy coping mechanism to let out your stress, worries, doubts, and insecurities. It’s all fun and games to say these albums are cursed. If anything it’s more of a fan’s way of selling you their favorite albums in the sub genre most rap or just music fans would miss out on. @@Navagenetics Something can be two things at the same time lol
And even if you don't believe in "curses" and think that shit is dumb, there are some people out there who take those things very seriously.
In some cases serious enough to kill for.
Look up the case of the occultist narcos. They believed human sacrifices and evil rituals would literally make them invisible to the law... so they actually went out and did it!
Spoiler alert -- they were not, in fact, invisible to the law.
Either that or Johnny Law was doing more blood rituals than the narcos were...

Yo this is one of my favorite urban legends, stoked to see someone did a deep dive on it.
Remember that "4 corners" may also refer to the mystical and occult story of Robert les Johnson, the blues guitarist of the 1930s, who sold his soul to the devil at a famous 4-corner crossroads in exchange for the talent and fame we already know. this pact with the devil got the better of him and he disappeared at the age of 27 in strange circumstances, making him the first victim of the 27 club and one of the first mystical legends of music and all the mysteries that hover around this club.

Koopsta Knicca also was pretty open about his Satanic Beliefs and corroborates much of what they claim
I got my first dubbed tape of 3-6 mafia in the mid 90s and thought it was darker than any metal bands I had heard. Those beats had everyone hypnotized.
I swear smaller content creators put more work and effort; make less generic, clickbaitie or formulaic videos; are more creative and make better content than bigger content creators e.g. Penguinz0, Sunnyv2, Mr. Breast, and Tuv. I just hate how videos like these get less attending but poorly researched, generic/ clickbait videos with flashy editing like tuv's dominate this site.
I feel like mainstream shit sucks in general when it comes to most things. Hipsters were right
Look at who spends the most time on youtube : kids. Kids are more gullible, fall into trends and get clickbaited easier. Is almost impossible to defeat kids and teenage girls preferences in a popularity race. They're online TOO MUCH and whatever they attach themselves to they shoot up the algorithm.
Yeah penguinz0 is the most overrated shit
I Cant standdddd Tuv he just recently uploaded a video kinda talking about this

This is the only good video on memphis rap I’ve seen on the internet. Bravo.
Memphis is known for Hoodoo (not confused with Voudou). It is the 2nd largest city in North America that makes Voudou paraphernalia. There’s even a store that sold these products on Beale Street, cray cray. There’s definitely a dark cloud 🌧 over my city!!!
hoodoo and voudou are the same thing, it's a linguistic shift responsible for the different pronunciation. It's like how the word water used to have a V sound, but we lost it and it became softer, Water. This goes even further in Germany, where they've also lost the T sound and now it's Wasser, but kept the V.
Fuck memphis

Okay, after finishing the vid, a few final thoughts (last post, i swear lol)
1- The Tinimaine album very much sounds like he was influenced by Bone Thugs...
And i gotta say, not only is E 1999 Eternal among the best rap albums of the 90s, it's got some of the baddest spooky beats I've heard. Especially for a mainstream record. The production is off the hook... so way more polished and pretty much opposite of low fi... but some of them really ride the line between maintaining a funky beat and making it atmospheric and creepy. Just saying.
-----------
2- Putting master tapes into a pentagram or pyramid to charge them with occult power (or "possess" them with spirits) is actually part of a VERY old conspiracy theory that's been going around longer than the Internet.
There's this cheistian guy who made a tape... claims he used to work at one of the big record companies, and that they're all satanists, and this is what they do with each finished album before release.
It absolutely reeks of Christian cultural paranoia, but as a spooky story it's kinda cool i guess lol
You can still find copies of this super old recording on TH-cam.
-----------
3- The memphis pyramid and the Egyptian stuff...
Oh boy I'm almost reluctant to even bring this part up cuz i can barely do it justice here...
But theres a conspiracy theory that says either Egyptians used to be in America at one point, or the culture that lived in ancient America was essentially Atlantis, and that after a cataclysm they went on to populate the rest of the world, including Egypt... hence why there are various connections between the US and Egypt.
There's also a particular school of this theory that says america was the true "old world" and that History was actually manipulated to place some of those events in the middle east instead of here...
(This last one actually comes from a book written by a Freemason, for other Masons... but is now available online )
With a few different flavors to choose from, and elements ranging from the Mississippi valley to the grand canyon, to the Mayans, to the Egyptians, and Hindus, and on... this is a DEEP conspiracy rabbit hole.
Most flavors of this theory also assert that a lot of black people were in America before slavery, and that they may represent one of the lost tribes of Israel...
(Some seem to say they're the only real Hebrews... and it gets a little controversial and occasionally supremacist from there... but that's only part of the movement.
And yes, this conspiracy theory is so deep it's actually literally spawned some modern religious groups... lol)
Anyway, it also relates to the ancient "mound builder" cultures of that area.
Some people believe the mound builders were ancient giants.
(And giant skeletons have been found, and repeatedly covered up, by the Smithsonian)
Some people believe these giants were "nephilim" or basically the descendants of an interbreeding between humans and fallen angels, or "the sons of God"
. . and giant bones have been found in some of the excavated mounds.
I think i saw something in a video, about how that Memphis pyramid is on or right near where they actually tore down one of these ancient sacred burial sites (of gigantic maybe-half-angel people).
So that may be sitting on, or right near, an ancient Indian/angel graveyard. lol
Anyway if you want to dive down this rabbit hole, the channel UB TV has a great series called "America is Egypt" where he lays a lot of this out, and the other channel I'd recommend is Kurimeo Ahau... who has many many hours of vids that go real deep, and some pretty good topical playlists.
So yeah, I'm not surprised that place is spooky / haunted. lol
-----------
4- "some say you need the actual tapes"
From an occult perspective i don't think this would be necessary. However, tape is made using electromagnetism... and that's a pretty powerful force that's allegedly (potentially) behind various occult or paranormal phenomenon.
Sound vibrations themselves are probably more powerful on an occult level... but i wouldn't dismiss the idea that magnetic impulses could be used somehow...
But ultimately i don't think it's necessary for the kind of thing i was talking about before...
🤷
great breakdown thanks.
If I'm correct," 4 corners" is an actual gang/street organization (4CH/4 Corner Hustlers)
damn, i played for a football team called 4 corners, lol

Everything you hear today is so heavily influenced by Memphis rap from the 90/00s. They pioneered proto horrorcore
“Youngstas onna come up -Lil Yo“ was a pretty dope Memphis project too
this seems hella interesting 🤔
A few years ago I went on a nostalgia trip, and listened to the the music, mostly rap, from my early teen years. I had completely forgot how dark a lot of 90s rap was. Don't remember where I got it from, but i had a Dayton Family tape that I played every day. Whole shit was about twisting your mind with drugs, and killing folks.
the 8 sigils mentioned are:
10 wanted men - dead or alive
children of the corn - the single
manic - the world of a paycho
lil ramsey - goin undercover
house of hell - living in a casket
niggas of destruction - niggas of destruction
mr.tinimaine - 19 tini 5
psycho - the return of psycho

This is an interesting video 4 sure. But I'm from Memphis & this is just 4chan conspiracy ish. No disrespect to the content creator. 1st of all, West Memphis 3 absolutely did not listen 2 rap. They were heavy metal fans. It's silly now but back at that time those boys were murdered, satanic panic was a thing everywhere. Damien also had long hair, listened to heavy metal, wore black, & probably most overlooked, he had a history of serious mental disturbances. That's all that was needed 2 convince people back then. Media loves 2 push scary narratives. I'm not getting into whether I believe they are innocent or not. But I'm just stating facts. The main issue is incompetent investigators who were out of their league & the education level of that particular area.
The only other thing I want to say is that there is a dark aura in certain areas in Memphis. If you are from here & didn't grow up in privileged rich white sections, you know what I mean. This is what influenced the music that came from here. The music is so genius & ahead of it's time, people just can't give the credit to the artists as they deserve, especially considering the limited resources which ironically elevated the sound. People think it just has to be something else because it truly is special & has changed the genre. And has an influence in all rap, hip hop, phonk, trap, crunk, etc. that we have today. The darkness in the music is the result of white supremacy & oppression that continues to this day. Which is no less demonic btw. If you pay attention, the violence has been in the most impoverished areas until it eventually spread everywhere through the city. Which is now suddenly a problem. No one wants to hear the truth though because it isn't as sensational.
Listen with ur ❤ & you can feel the artists struggle. These artists made the most influential music out there today because of their pain & struggle. Not because they made some pact with evil & therefore are evil themselves. I mean if that's what it takes to give these artists the attention they deserve it's better than nothing. I'm just sayin they deserve so much more ❤😈
***that's not what Tommy Wright meant at all by the lyrics "4 corners". If u are from here u know exactly what that means. Ur not even close about that. Tommy Wright is the 🐐
privileged rich white areas? What privilege do they have, exactly? A privilege implies something a whole lot different than something that was rightfully earned through hard work, which is available to all people. There are plenty of jobs that pay enough for a wife and kids which is all anyone needs, and a lot more.
White supremacy? What white supremacy? You clearly are young and have very little life experience. I've lived all over the united states, poor areas, nice areas, all white areas, areas where I was the only white person. And the first time I ever experienced any sort of racism was when I was living in a black area. Does this have anything to do with being black? No, but it shows your worldview is just entirely false. In reality, people just want to live their lives peacefully with their family.
The only sort of true oppression black people face in the united states is still really bad. And it's at the hands of democrats through planned parenthood genocide program. The founder of planned parenthood herself stated that its purpose is to limit the black population; a genocide with plausible deniability, because after all they are choosing to do it themselves, right? That's why pro choice is so devious. This is a political and financial elite, not a racial one. It is not white supremacy
@@AR15andGOD No you are wrong there. If you didn't grow up exposed to poverty you will never understand. Minimum wage cannot even pay rent much less enough food. If you grow up able to go to private school you have a better education plus more opportunities. This is only possible if your parents have money. Also, you can go on to any college you want. A grant isn't going to pay for tuition much less housing or anything else. I had to work full time, had an academic scholarship, a grant, & I still needed a student loan to pay for college. My family was middle class. I was able to continue to go to high school & just work part time. A lot of people I knew had to drop out & get full time jobs because they didn't have it as good as me. This is only one example of how the poverty cycle doesn't get broken. I don't know why you don't understand this except you only know what other people tell you 🤷♀️
