I don’t have rats, but I’m getting degus. Thank you so much. And accessories are expensive. Everything else was fine. The case I already had wheel but toys for arboreal animals are so expensive.
Thankyou for this video, I thought the exact same thing about fleece ... Great animation in the video too ... love it! I loved all your suggestions ...
Rats are costly, but in terms of life enrichment compared to expense, they're still one of the cheaper pets out there. The only reason cats _can_ be cheaper than rats is that their need for spaces and mental stimulation can be supplemented with exposure to the out of doors (that is, they've got better instincts for finding their way back home if they get out and neighbors are _less likely to_ kill a free roaming cat on sight). Many pets have a more expensive basic buy-in cost than a rat (or let's be real here, group of rats because you can't just have one) will cost you over their combined lifetimes. Owning _any_ living animal and caring for it properly is an investment not just financially, but emotionally and a lot of people aren't as ready for it as they think they are.
Hi, did you get your rat? Just wanted to mention that they need same age/sex company and can't be kept alone like other animals as its unfair on the rats. No amount of human love and attention can make up for same species company, so if you haven't got one yet I'd absolutely urge you to get a trio or a pair when you do 😊😊😊
I currently have a diy cage made out of two cages put together, but since I’m adopting 3 more rats I recently ordered a cage similar to the critter nation so they have more space.
Be careful with crocheted items no matter the yarn! Their feet can get stuck in that holes as well And be careful with cloth in general, especially if it throws loops where again, their feet can get stuck

Can’t wait to get rats one day! I will definitely be using these, especially the hammock one! :)
great Ideas. I have many rats, they seem to love the homemade things better than store bought.
Love the Dixieland Jazz

Be careful with crocheted items no matter the yarn! Their feet can get stuck in that holes as well

I've had my rat for a year the only feels like a month but his name is Remmi too I prob spell it different
Do you only have one rat?
You shouldn't have a rat in isolation! They need friends
have u gotten another rat? they get depressed and can even die if they are kept alone since they are social animals he needs a friend
All about rats and being cheap!
