I was just about to say that 😂 So many of these tips and tricks only apply to higher skill opponents aha I just got my elo rating yesterday after dragging my sorry butt out of a depresso espresso and I'm starting at a 4.6k climb, every lobby I play I'm asking myself "what are you even doing there?" Or "why are you actually getting kills just running with your trigger pressed into the damn floor?" Low elo lobbies really do be having people doing the most outrageous things that catch YOU off guard because you're not expecting someone to play so.. stupid haha
Yes also as it should be. Preaiming into a wall means you are literally holding nothing. You should continously clear angles while peeking, not position your camera to a clear specific angle before you peek. This also means you are able to see any off-angles and corners and you don't need to flick. If your opponent peeks as you are preaiming you're just dead.
I literally didn’t rank up until I played angles differently, I always knew stuff like this but I never implemented like distance from an angle, the game literally got so much easier once i started playing angles off distance
forgot to mention something important - prefired angles are prefired BC many people use them - many people use them BC they are useful - & they are useful BC there is cover nearby while also having LOS to a chockepoint so have in mind that - if you off angle you are also out in the open, fish in a barrel the game is partially about finding creative angles too see also: one-and-done angles
my enemies come flying around the corner never stopping once get 3 headshots and 1 jumping headshot with whatever gun they are holding in 10 or less bullets.
Playing csgo then go to val then back to cs really help me normally use peeker adv-off angles spot, except the chances of getting trade off is higher than val cuz you can TP there XD
i mean if your standing there at the doors you can always have your crosshair farther out so you can have more time to react to the guy swinging you but yeah i love me some off angles
You thinking that someone will wide swing and pre fire that corner behind the door tells me everything I need to know. Pre aim and clear the corner sure, wide swing pre fire, never…
What is wrong with adjusting your aim according to your reaction time and expected behaviour of opponents? Cuz the angles are very situational and you choose the best angle for that situation not always holding 45 or 90 or anything strict.
I don't PvP ever but turning 90 like that sounds like you miss the first rule of room clearing, not that i'd know anything about that. But its like walking up stairs with out also aiming at the next set of stairs. I pan across walls searching and destroying, not just rushing in full speed like the bot at the end.
45 degrees is just wrong tho. You showed it in your video. The best is when oppoents is walking straight towards you. So the best place to stand is as close as possible to that. Of your opponent is peeking on your screen feom l->r beeing the furthest to the right would slow the visual peek down the most. Second issue here is peekers advantage. It comes in 2 forms: technical peekers advantage, which will give the opponent a (his ping + your ping)/2 ms amount of advantage, at 50ms ping this is the difference between an e-sport pro reaction time and average gamer (150ms, 200ms). You lose this by playing an off angle, you need to be jiggle holding angles to gain this advantage. Second form of peekers advantage is expected vs cold reaction time. The peeker can focus up while he peeks, the holder has to keep focus over a long time. Expexted reaction is much faster than cold reaction. Another negative of hplding an off angle likee this. Third is flashes. Off angles commonly have no cover nearby to fall back to if flashed, making them weak to flashes. Fourth, and least relevant, is muscle memory. You shoot at 90 degree peeks all day long, many many times every day. You onky occasionally practice shooting a non 90 degree peek, meaning that while technically eaisier, you are more likely to be better against 90 degree angles because of experience. Muscle memory is the core reason why preaim is so important, and preaim is still the number one improvement tip dor cs. The advantage gained by off angles are rhat your opponent doesn't get to play his muscle memory either, the flick they need to hit is quite substantial sometimes and of course the suprise factor. If the suprise factor is lost the off angle becomes completely worthless, because you get all the substantial disadvantages without the benefits, because they will check you. For a one off play it can be good, given certain conditions: your ping, and the oppoents ping is reasonably low. Your reaction tome is reasonably good. The off angle on question forces for a reasonably big flick off of the on angle. The angle isnt usually flashed. You have experience shooting at people from off angles. The circumstances where off angles are good are quite rare, because the moment an off angle is actually good people will staft checking it, making it no longer an off angle. You need exceptionally accurate knowledge of the oppentna knowledge of the map and the quality of positions to even determine if something is an off angle to them. This is why off angles can be much better in pro play, because expectations are more rigid and known by everyone. In ranked, your much more likely to get randomly preaimed on a good off angle, but also randomly not preaimed/killed on a bad one. All that being said, playing "real" off angles like shown in the video is pretty bad to do consistently, but ok once or twice a game. If you are finding a lot pf success doing this, you just have really good reaction time and aim, and are probably struggling with correct preaim and movement on peeking, because otherwise your peeking would be outperforming your off angoe holds, as it always should be the case.
excuse my ignorance, but why would 45° be the sweet spot? As you said, they appear even slower when running straight at you, and fastest when their movement is perpendicular. So why not like 60° when they appear even slower?
It really does not matter where you stand. I have tried every off angle in the world, you just keep getting cheated to death. I can’t even escape Master Guardian in Wingman, even though I was global in CS:GO. Two scenarios: I either win 9:0 against clean opponents, or lose a close match against them while I do 18 kills, because I get a drunk Russian kid as a teammate, or I suddenly lose 9:0 after winning 15 games in a row without ranking up once, by profiles without a profile picture and about 50 hours played. Everyone cheats, because there is no punishment.
LOL u will never just dry peek corners like that on high level , area will be pop flashed before peek , temple will be smoked , and the angle behind doors will be molied so the only place u have to look is camera . and u seek to kill camera , and push it to open A, while the smoke is still up on temple entry .
wont work in very high elo lobbies because players check EVERYTHING and peek out slowly checking everyt spot even theoretically possible. and low elo players just run out and turn their camera at the same time
@@dangerd9315 Off-angles absolutely work in higher elo lobbies. Yes, it’s far more likely that players will “slice the pie” or jiggle their way out, but these angles are still quite effective when used in moderation. I go into much greater detail in the full video.

Yeah and then in this spot how do you watch door? Last time I checked one person goes mid and is always first to die 😂😂
Obviously the problem with this off angle is that you can get peeked from the double doors
When you clear the 90 you shouldn't pre aim you should move your mouse as you strafe for better cross hair placement
