Yup, tube fed. Getting this thing running right again was a hassle. The feed slot gets really finicky if loosen those wide flat head screws near the lifter. Took me almost a year to get the new part situated just right in order to feed. So Don't Loosen Them if you don't have to lol
This is the second one like it that I've had. The savage-stevens one stopped working on me and being young and dumb, I sold it for half what I paid originally. I missed it so much that I kept looking for another. Finally found one at a "fun" show and paid exactly what I sold my previous one for. Is yours as accurate?
@@mikeyachk I have a 550-1 Remington , when I first acquired it it wouldn't feed properly or eject,took it apart to the bare bones soaked with hops #9 cleaned out all the years of blowback and gunk built up,it's been running flawless since only thing missing is the elevation rail for the rear sight but put a plastic shim under and it's really great groups..
