The Legend of Nian

The legend was told that Nian is a ferocious beast that tormented the villagers in Peach Blossom on New Year Eve.
Thanks to Wang's dropping the gong, it scare Nian away.
That is why during Chinese New Year we will have firecrackers and make lot of loud noises.
