I'm really glad they made him a warrior. At first it looked like they were gonna make 'em a mage, and that's all fine and dandy - but the game definitely needs more warriors. Pretty awesome set, too. Seems like Osiris is a beast, will see if that's the case once he comes out. But yeah, it's pretty cool that we got him. Although I never really imagined Osiris as a warrior ^_^ But I still hope that one day we will get slavic, african and korean pantheons... one day...
originally in Egyptian mythology, it was a shepherd's crook and not a sickle, to signify guiding your people, and the flail for avenging, but i can understand why that was changed for the purposes of Smite.

(edit: so I learned his skin is green because green represents rebirth, so ...my bad and thumbs up to the designers). And IMO his crown and gold accessories should be more vibrant like the golden versions of the gods, just to make contrast and make his skin look more decadent. ps: bring back original Kali skin!

I appreciate Hi-Rez's early admittance that he is broken. After all acceptance is the first step to dealing with your problems but if they already know he is broken you would think he would just be nerfed before release.

Their son Horus then challenges and defeats Set, taking up his father's old position. Osiris meanwhile becomes king of the underworld and the moniker "The broken god". So long story short, he is not actually broken in-game. He is, however, the wrong class, he should be a guardian or possibly a mage, not a warrior. If you want to know the whole story of Osiris, look him up.
I can see why he seems broken. He is able to walk through a Ymir wall, Anhur pillar, Odin Ring and other walls gods made and he takes reduced damage with his 3. He also gets a slow that gets increased with another skill and has a stun. He is what people are saying what is OP about Warriors, they can be jack of all trades and shove out others. I can see him being similar to Wukong. Being able to Support for his CC and damage, while becoming another damage dealer late game. We would have to see if he is OP, but just from seeing his skills, he does seem very OP. He has good chase and can easily take someone down in a group.
Set and Horus need to be in this, and i think Venus (Mayan God of War and NOT the Roman name for Aphrodite) and Jorrmungr (i think that's it, he's Loki's son and Fenrir and Hel's brother) would be cool

They got most known gods for Egyptian but if Osiris, Ra, Anubis etc- are there then they need to put Seth as well especially when Osiris and Ra are in the game its like Zues, Poseidon, Hades without Ares but he's actually in there and Seth isn't? When he's actually known for Chaos. I'm pretty sure they will put him in there soon I hope he's a warrior or assassin. Who knows I just think its fair, but they're probably saving best for last for each subject of gods
Baptiste Brethenoux So maybe "we" should stop saying every new God is OP, when it's obviously not true. ;) Osiris, the first warrior with NO means to heal himself at all. Even Odin gets some passive HP5. He also only has his ultimate as a movement ability. He'll be fine.

I feel is is going to pretty much be this god that if you let him auto attack you, you're very likely do die, but if you can kite him or lock him down in CC things change quickly. So i would be careful when picking him and to watch out for enemy gods with lots of CC.
SMITE should add Horus and Set. Would lead to some interesting quotes (when one god kills another specific god, such as ra vs nieth: "Did you forget your sunscreen, Nieth?")

Actually, HiRez Studios itself said it was OP. The only thing I find OP on him is his third ability.
