- I've been needing for a long time now to build a cabinet to store alll of my Stanley fatmax organiser boxes in, along with that I need somewhere to keep all my finishing supplies in as well, so combined the 2 and came up with this!

Hi Jigsey mate, WOW! Thanks for that comment, onwards and upwards from here with the videos 🍻🍻

Good to see you James 😊 nice tidy solution as well mate.
Cheers Karl, back on the rails again, and starting to watch a lot more yt again now
Great to see you back James.
Hope you’re mojo is fully restored. You’ve been missed.
Hi David, yep all restored and raring to go again. Many projects planned for the future ahead 😀
It's great to see you! 🤩You wear the vacuum hose really well 👍🏻 I was going to leave you a vacuum joke but they all suck 😐 Seriously though, if you clean the vacuum does that make you a vacuum cleaner? 🤔 It's nice to see your vacuum cleaner in action, mine just gathers dust 😉
Awww man! why didn't I think of one of those!!! Can always count on you to provide the jokes. And, when did you get the tick next to your name??
@@JamesManCave Channel verification is something you can apply for when you reach 100K subscribers. I just filled in the form and forgot about it, then one day the tick just appeared 😁
@@resinAce I was trying to think of a witty reply, but the best I can come up with, is your a tick off the old block. Terrible! 😟
Only just seem that you are back on YT - welcome back. Your old table saw has been put to good use on the other side of Chippers, let me know if the Brad Nailer ever gets replaced - I fancy one of those!!
Haha, good to hear from you!
Glad to hear you're enjoying the table saw, do you have a Instagram so we can see what you've made?
Not quite ready to broadcast to the world - but 2024 will be the year I start !!. This is the only thing I have published to date :

Top stuff. Love me some workshop organisation. A finishing cart is on my to-do list, the small parts have been taken care of.
Jimmmmmerrrrr!!! I never intended for it to be for finishing products, but I think that was a happy mistake 😁🤣
Thanks for the info and laughs!
😁
Nicely organized!
I tend to use a foam roller instead of the normal wall type, which leaves a lot less dimply finnish. That might work for you to, although it looked like you enjoyed the meditative brush strokes... 😁
Hiya matey, I've heard of these magical rollers before, but to be honest I haven't ever looked out for them, I just generally tend to go for the cheapest. But, now you have mentioned it, I'm gonna look them up! Good idea.
@@JamesManCave To be honest, the ones I've used have been on the cheap side as well...
Hi James, great work there! You look like the sort of chap that would be a brilliant neighbour!!
I think not, always working, never at home to borrow a cup of sugar from!
Lovely job Mate 🔨👍😊
Cheers Tony. Will catch up on your latest purchases tonight
That looks amazing.
Thanks mark 👍
Great idea!
Loved the small workshop comment. Single garage user myself
Well it's true! Us single garage users have struggles they cant even imagine
Good job James. You got to use up some offcuts and get a storage unit out of it, that can also double up as a smaller outfeed/workbench👍
Hiya Suj, that's an idea, I just thought of it as an extra assembly bench, hadn't thought of it as an out feed table. That's got me thinking now 🤔
Great to see your post.😃😃
Thank you, and thanks for watching 🙂
Great video James & well thought out cabinet storage 👍
Thanks matey, has saved so much more space
I use these sorter boxes. You should label them up on the front so you know what’s in them. The best way ive seen to do it is to use iron on edge banding. The stuff you’d use on white chip board, then just write on it what’s in them. (The grey rubber strip on the handle is perfect for the banding to stick to) 👍
That's a great idea with the edge banding. I do plan to label them up now I have them sorted, just need to sort a few out first. I've got a laser engraver, so I want to try engraving some labels for it
Nice to see you back on here James. Good project mate. (I agree that Leo's finish wax is really good stuff).
On another note....what happened to part 2 of the mitre saw station build?
Hi buddy, thanks for the comment. As regards the mitre saw station, I filmed the majority of part 2, but then I had to store a lot of stuff in my garage for a while, and I finished it off with the odd bit of time I had, so I never actually filmed all of it. Maybe I can chuck together some sort of ending to it all? 🤔
@@JamesManCave Fair enough bud. We all have times like that lol.
There he is! The rumours weren't true after all, you weren't kidnapped by space aliens.
Nice little cabinet is that, just the job. 👍
Welcome back sir!
Good to see you back pal,I'm thinking of building a mitre saw station, how big is your workshop
Thanks buddy. The workshop is about half the size of a standard UK garage. The front half has my bikes on it, and the back half I use as a workshop. The mitre saw station does take up some room, but well worth it
Hiya James. Been missing you buddy.
Wondering if you have had stuff going on behind the scenes??
Hope you’re ok.
It’s a funny old word mate.
I spent a fortune buying woodworking gear ( not a tablesaw yet) as I loved every moment Getting new gear from Amazon was like Xmas daily!
I got Covid in 2021 and strangely in the aftermath, I don’t have any motivation to do anything much, let alone woodworking.
Don’t know your story James but hope you’re ok.
Cheers. David.
Hi David, how are you doing? There is a whole world of wood working tools out there to invest your money in. So I can sympathize with you about buying lots of equipment! 😀
But I also know exactly what you mean about covid, I got it in march 2022 and since then I've lost my mojo for doing pretty much anything. But to answer your question, I am fine thanks. In 2022 I had a lot of family issues, and times where I had to be there for my family, hence the time away last year. This year, though I just seem to start a project, get half way through and then don't go back to it for a month or so. I started a new project after this video, but I've not got it finished yet. I keep saying I need to get my ass in gear and get back to a routine, hopefully soon. . .
😂
'Sausage'!
use a pushstick on the table saw and NEVER reach for the off-cut with the blade still running. Listen to this advice while you still have all 10 fingers please!
Thank you for your advice. I will continue to work the way I do, it may not be suitable for you, but it suits me
Yoy have removed the blade guard, have no Riving knife, stand straight behind the blade waiting for a kickback to hit your torso, use no push stick and reach for off-cuts in close proximity of the blade while its still running. You are violating all safety procedures I can think of in one video. I tried to give you some advice but ok, you do you. I will however report this video considering you are broadcasting this video for others to "learn from".
You also forgot to mention I wasn't wearing a full face shield either! There IS a riving knife fitted if you look, I am also stood to the side, but you fail to take in the camera angle. I don't recall there ever being a minimum size of cut for which you must use a push stick. Oh, and when you first buy the saw, you have to fit the blade cover on first assembly, so as it wasn't fitted in the first place, technically I never actually removed it. Please do what you feel necessary, as I will continue to do regarding using my tools. 👌
@@EspenShampoo25 ahhhh, so now I see your lack of knowledge coming through. When you make that sort of cut with a grooving blade or dado stack, the riving knife would actually lift up the wood as it passes over it, making the cut much more dangerous, as the riving knife would sit higher than the saw blade. Brilliant 👍
@@JamesManCave th-cam.com/video/LLvXrmLLvKs/w-d-xo.html thank me later 👍
