      Thanks heaps. Check out my insta @cherry_xsr700. Lots of photos there. As you can see I don't use TH-cam much. I use it more as a personal record 😁

    I was curious how much better the sound gets from a cold start to when it's warm. Feared that my Tracer 7 stock exhaust would "highlight" the treble whereas the bass is more important. After the cold start I thought about changing the exhaust because there's that.... "high pitched side note" sounding like a dynamo (like the engine sound of Alpine's 2021 F1 car). But that sound at regular temperature, I'll give it a try. 🌡️👍

    Can you post a link of where you purchased the exhaust please?

      Got it from the Yamaha dealership.

    I think it sounds incredibly similar to stock

    • @wheelzupmoto
      @wheelzupmoto  ปีที่แล้ว

      The akra is a little deeper and more refined tone. The stock one sounds like a tin can

    The stock exhaust sounds good already.

    From who are the side protectors ? Looks nice

    Did you tune it?

    • @wheelzupmoto
      @wheelzupmoto  ปีที่แล้ว

      For the video, no. But the DNA filter made a bit of difference in the sound. Making it a little deeper. After the ECU flash the bike feels like it is breathing and not heating up as much being a bit lean in stock form.

    Them pegs 😂
    Some things are better consigned to the retro scrap bin

    • @wheelzupmoto
      @wheelzupmoto  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Completely agreaa and it is on the cards. Just not a priority. Also when is comes to pegs I'll be looking at functionality as a scrambler over the looks

      @@wheelzupmoto In fact its your poor quality recording device bro. Check out other videos, you will understand what I mean. You need good setup on the receiving end as well, I agree on that one, but I have one, and your audio quality is poor here, so it's not only his speakers/ headphones audio output device.

    • @wheelzupmoto
      @wheelzupmoto  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Lech Taczka completely agree! However, even with my poor recording you can hear the difference. Granted, it doesn't give it justice and I could do so much better but it isn't my goal. I leave that to you tubers looking at getting followers and sponsorships etc. There are a lot of there 😄

    Absolutely categorically remove the DB killer 🙏

    • @wheelzupmoto
      @wheelzupmoto  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Not for me. Way too loud and annyoing on the freeway :) However I am considering cutting it in half....

    • @bensteelemusic
      @bensteelemusic 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@wheelzupmoto if nothing else, then just for the video! Hahah. In fairness I do think they're very loud with no db killer.. I have the Tracer 900 with the 3-in version of your exhaust, and it sounds brutal, very loud through town. On long journeys I'd stick the db killer back in. But in the city, people hear you and move out of the way. The difference in other people's behaviour in traffic is huge.
      On your db killer, as you know it's like one large plug with two pipes through it. You might already know this, but can cut short the two pipes on the interior side, the part of the killer that is hidden inside the exhaust once fitted. That allows a lot more sound to resonate within the exhaust itself, but the main large plug is still unaltered and reducing the overall volume a lot.
      I'm gonna try doing the same thing to mine. FYI cutting the pipes on the outside part of the db killer does nothing to the sound. Hope that helps!

      @wheelzupmoto  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@bensteelemusic haha well maybe I will. By cuttingng inhalf that's exactly what I meant. Thanks fore being detailed. I am sure it will help other viewers. I'll post a new video with the db killer removed and modified.

      @skylerjmunk2045 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@wheelzupmotodid you ever get around to modifying the baffle? I’m looking to get the same exhaust and wonder if cutting the inner pipes in half does the trick or if you’ve been back in there a few times cutting off more and more to dial the tone you want.

    • @wheelzupmoto
      @wheelzupmoto  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@skylerjmunk2045 yes I have actually. I cut both pipes and only left about a cm on each. Makes removing the baffle a lot easier. A mate of mine drilled holes in his. I think he drilled about 16 holes before he could get a similar sound. It makes it louder but also deeper but not to the point of giving you a headache like having it off
