I’ve worked out how to fill gaps easy. You set up your AI wrong, Set it to working width 1.2m Header auto 5 Work headers on Start with headland and skip line 0. It’s covered the whole field no gaps.
Do you mind sharing the command to fill in the gaps on the field for the poplar? I found doing a 1.2m working width for the AI gets 90% but still leaves some gaps
Stand by the field you want to edit then use gsfieldsetstate if I remember correctly then you get a menu in which you can set the field to whichever state you wish 👍
I've just gave up on harvesting my field of poplar. It's really not worth the actual time investment into it. I made 2 mistakes admittedly however. First I bought the bio baler for the harvest because of storage reasons, there is no good way to store large amounts of wood chips. The second was I planted field 7 on River Bend Springs map. I just went with the 1.2m configuration for planting as it was taking so much time and the AI is so messed up it's not even worth having it plant poplar let alone I could not get it to harvest it. I could set up gps for myself but no ai which would have made it so much easier. I spent close to 4h harvesting and only got about 60% completed with about 180 bales at 85% yield. It is completely infuriating as your stuck with only one size bale that fills the machine in about 10 seconds and your stuck sitting for another 6 seconds before you can lower and restart the machine. I honestly thought about going with the harvester but it will fill up way too fast and constantly switching trailers or running up beside it (If you can get ai to harvest) sounds exhausting. Let alone where the hell do you store 600,000l+ of wood chips until you get a good price, then how many bloody loads are you going to have. It's not like the belt system is even a consideration it's slow as hell and requires you to sit in it if you want it to continuously work. I think FS25 killed any consideration to buy future games, there is so much that is wrong in it even on a surface level that it's not even funny. Even worse is many of these issues have been around a long time from previous games and are still not fixed or appears any attempt was made as it's exactly the same issue. Going back to poplar, it might be viable in a multiplayer game. Having 3 people harvesting (1 harvester, 2 runners with trailers) might be viable but storage will still be a big issue.
@@matthewuzulis5016 Couldn't you use bunker silos and utilize the frontloader with a 10k bucket? Treat it kinda like silage. Or download the Tardis trailer with 200k unrealistic storage and just consider it a fix for a bad design flaw.
@@shadowedknight66 To the first part, that is still 60 bucket loads to fill trailers when it comes time to sell. I don't mind loading but that many gets tiring real fast. As to the second I prefer sticking closer to realistic and that seems far too much. Regardless the real life time investment to deal with poplar I still feel is not worth it. How messy the AI also works does not make matters easier.
Great simple explanation. Thanks
You’re welcome 👍

Thanks for the tips - I will give it a try.
Have you been able to re-load the poplar planter when it runs out, then resume the AI worker?
@@niaralosusa yeah I stock more than two pallets on the planter but use a forklift etc to load don’t move planter

Sounds like you're playing the wrong game😂
