  • Hi Lads, in this video I talk about what I think you should keep in mind when designing a sports logo or crest or whatever you want to call it. I give some good and bad examples that are out there so I hope the couple of tips here help.
I will be designing more and more logos as the year goes on so keep an eye out for that. I will keep trying to improve my logo designing skills while trying to keep these ideas in mind.
These tips are more for beginners in the design world as an experienced designer will probably be well aware of these simple things to make a good sports logo.
The logo has to look good across all the branding that exists as Juventus and Man City have successfully done while a failure of it like Coventry really need top revamp the logo and how it looks.
I could be the man to get this done sure won't we see in the future.

😂"I say we when it's just me" line had me in stitches, cos I do this all the time. Its a good attitude to take mate, shows your business minded. Good luck with all your future designs, hope you get picked up by a big company.

Great vid, do you think the old rule of logos having to look good in black and white was a result of the printing technology of the time and in the future with digitisation we will see more colours and complex gradients ?

I think that how it started but still today there are case where things have to be monochrome. Now it matters since this is a sports logo which has to be seen when stitched on. If we are talking about a craft beer logo which is always going to be a more detailed then that rule is out to window and I'm sure there are more cases like that. You do have to take the "rules" case by case
