I still have a Jerome jersey in mint condition. I have taken care of it for so long. he made me want to hustle and be a warrior. I love you forever! I had it dry cleaned and it's still looking great! RIP my hero! I'll try to post a pic of it soon. Love you forever!

Who in the hell made this? Chris McGowan? Whoever made this doesn't understand the greatness of Jerome Kersey! Was Jerome the flashiest player? No, but he hustled the whole time on the floor and was FEARLESS! So many fast breaks i remember thinking there's too many people no way he can dunk that... Wrong. I remember thinking there's no way he's gonna get to that guy who didn't get back and on d and is now cherry picking. Wrong. Or he can't chase this guy down and block him. Wrong. (now known as the LeBron chase down block) Hustle hustle hustle! 110% doesn't even describe him. It was like 200% I met him a couple times too. He was always polite. I mean i didn't ask anything stupid of him or something. But I'd say what's up Jerome! He'd smile and say it back. I sold cell phones back in the day and he came in once. He was very polite and friendly. Just seemed like a genuine good dude. He was my favorite during that era. How many games when shots weren't falling, nothing's going right and Jerome would just flat out will the team back into the game by sheer hustle. Not many players can do that, and it's not flashy, but it gets you pumped up to see that. Perfect example of his fearlessness and hustle is that play against the Lakers where he tries to block magic and lands on 6'10" Cliff Robinson's shoulders and flips over and lands on his head. Walks off on his own and i think he came back into the game! Yeah this highlight reel is pretty pathetic and someone needs to make a legit one. Several of these are from the same damn game! Man i miss Jerome. Gone far too young.

Agreed. He had Incredible Hops. Even though he was a small forward, he would always jump the opening tip against the other teams center. And Jerome won the tip most of the time.

I saw Jerome Kersey sitting outside the showers after the blazer's practice at Lewis and Clark College. I was just headed up to the court to play pick up ball. Man he looked beat, head down , not even enough energy to put his clothes on. I think that was 92 or 93, late in his career.
Jerome Kersey and Drazen Petrovic were both great basketball players and persons and both played together for Portland. Rest In Peace. Greetings from Thessaloniki-Greece.

Wow that's sad I didn't know, I watch as much basketball as anyone and I must have missed hearing it even though I'm on the east coast, I would use him on the classic teams on NBA 2k and he had the slam dunk icon and seemed like he was a shawn marion mix with lebron type game
