Once I became a WWE wrestler, I made more money than I had ever seen. However, some bad choices led to me losing a fortune. In this video, I explain how it happened.
Petition for HHH to bring this man to the commentary team
I'm sure there are already talks inside WWE regarding bringing Maven on
I'd love to see Maven become the Jerry Lawler for the current generation!
I dont know if that place is a good place to work anymore.
@@jimmccormick6091 I don't think we'll truly be able to evaluate how good or bad the current WWE administration is for a few years... It's pretty rare for there to be a problem, and that problems be called out in anything but hindsight.

You gotta protect your character. Maven aint no jobber to insects.
Perfect.
Respect Maven for keeping Test's name out there. It's clear Test had a meaningful impact in Maven's life and he really cherishes those moments.
Test was one of my favorite big guys. Seemed like a genuinely nice guy and was a hell of a worker. Damn shame we lost him so soon.
This guy is so upfront, real, honest, and takes responsibility for his actions. Gotta appreciate it.
When money is rolling in, it never feels like it’s going to stop.

That executive producer on a movie has GOT to be a video in-itself! Just, how you found this person, how they sold you on the project (or didn't have to sell you?), what was it, and what happened to them?
That's gotta be a great story!
Maven looks like he's on the verge of discovering something that will change the world
does he?
🤨
He kind of does
Lmao
he's a natural born salesman
The fact that this channel has under 500k subs blows my mind. Should be in the millions. Maven is one of the best dudes in the wrestling bubble, and this show is just so easy to watch.
He uploaded his first vid around this time last year. 450k subscribers in a year is really good. His channel is growing steadily but rapidly.
He'll get there in due time.
@@alexs.818that’s actually insanely fast. Most people are lucky to even get 1k in a year let alone 450k 😭. I think outside of Booker T his channel may be the biggest individual wrestler channel

Money comes and goes. Most people who run into some money blow thru it. I spent a lot of my money helping out others. But once the funds ran out they were no where to be found
Sadly, a lot of people are like that. They're happy to accept your money, but once it's gone, they are too. Id say look at it as a good thing, you got to see the real version of them, it sucked the way you had to find out (trust me, I know) but at least you now know who they really were

Fair-weather friends are, sadly, all too common. I'm sorry you had to learn it that way, mate... But good on you for not stinting when it comes to taking care of those you care about, regardless of the returns. It shows a big heart. 👍
Well were they people you could theoretically find lol? Were they family or strangers? And why did you blow through your money helping strangers? Did you ever actually ask them for help if/when you needed it? Or just expecting them to step in and know you needed help?
That is exactly why I don’t help people. It’s hard to not help people, but that’s the world we live in today.

The aesthetic of sitting around the campfire, bugs flying around, talking about wrestling stories is awesome. (Maybe not so awesome to record fighting the bugs lol) but i could see this as a podcast for sure. The crickets and background noise feels comfy and the stories are always great.

I appreciate your transparency and honesty and how you spent your money. One of the things I think we often overlook is making those big purchases like houses and cars and truly assessing how much we really need.
Great monetary lesson learnt, makes me reconsider my money management.. the ending part where all the money got burnt really shook me, makes me think how scary it will be with having almost nothing in your pocket.
Something I love about your channel and content.....it's different than anything out there. People always say in wrestling, "Be different", "Stand out", "Do something no one else is doing", etc. and your content is delivered in a way that's very unique, like I've never seen anywhere else. That was the most genuine perspective of the lifestyle I ever heard. He talks about being surrounded by positive people now. I wish i could be surrounded by Maven. His depth of explanation from young till now sounds like my journey of my career and burning money, and now coming back at 41. Maven’s storytelling is phenomenal. He should start a podcast. I wouldn’t mind listening to his stories and experiences while working out or driving

Maven makes more money with TH-cam from ad revenue. Podcasts sometimes are just audio time in order to sell products or services.
Excellent video Maven, it's definitely something that's happened to many wrestlers in the business. Excessive spending it's to see someone touch on this topic.

Not even sure what exactly it is, but Maven just makes me feel comfortable and I always look forward to a new video. It's not that I'm into wrestling, it's more like I'm learning for life.
So Maven, thank you for just being you and being there for us☺
My income went from $20k a year to $200k a year basically overnight when I was 28. I feel the pain of just burning through it like woah for the first chunk, I'd grown up poor, had zero concept of money management, and just ... frankly wanted to have something nice for the first time in my life.
Thankfully my career is such that I'm still making that money now that I have better sense, but it always hits me that if I'd been in a short earning window career, I'd be broke now.
Who cares? Why do you need to brag on TH-cam about how much money you earn? I make $300K a year. So what? Be humble, you mark.
@moesen-kalle he is saying that because he can relate to Maven who went from teacher money, which was maybe $30k a year at the time, to $50k his first contract. He's not bragging, you fuckin clown. He has a similar life experience.

That suburban was bulletproof, which just on a marketing standpoint alone made it more valuable than any escalade. It printed more money in itself and had a much greater allure because it played into 50 cent's dumb character
