    My only advice to all of those starting in this business pease please take care of your safety and your employees. I’ve done this for 17 years and we use harnesses and we make sure all of our ladders are checked and certified before anything. Good luck y’all

    Solid advice ! We just did our first house this year and I’m pretty sure this was an expert house cause it was pretty tough ! It came out great! We definitely under charged but that’s one of those things like you mentioned you’re not gonna get it right the first time you just gotta get out there and do it!

    Dude thank you for the comedy comparison. I sell roofs as a job and I always make this comparison and I get weird looks sometimes because people don’t get it but you gotta run that sales set over and over until it’s sharp

    What are the typical months to install lights? Where I live early-mid November it’s windy and stormy. Is it better to start early and get them up for people or tough it out in those cold dark months?

    • @lawnandlight
      @lawnandlight  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It depends on the market and what customers are used to. We start October 1st and run pretty heavy through the end of November.

    I was to do a year round installation, would I want spt-2 lights? Or are they more for extended season use but not year round?

    • @lawnandlight
      @lawnandlight  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They aren’t made for year round use. Look into permanent Christmas lights. We will be doing some videos on them in the future as well

    Any tips on doing this solo for the first year? Not a ton of experience on roofs. Worried about safety and getting on tall roofs/ 2 layered roofs

    • @lawnandlight
      @lawnandlight  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      Go slow. Be careful. Develop your skill level. It’s not a race. Main thing is that you go home each day. Don’t do a job that terrifies you

      You can do this solo for sure. I did about 90ish houses solo in a year but after that was when I got a helper the following year cause I was swamped. Take your time, get proper gear like cougar paws for roofs. If you're scared, that's when you need to stop because that's when people get hurt. Do a ton of research and figure out all the ins and outs of it
