Hi Sevesellors2831! Thanks for watching and for your question! The High Toe is more about giving a golfer more options in terms open the face, exposing bounce etc. I personally don’t feel skilled enough as a short game player that I’d get the most from this but equally there’s no reason not to go for it! I wouldn’t say it makes it more forgiving though and there’s nothing from Wilson that implies one is more forgiving than the other! I definitely think they would be suitable for your handicap - to me they are very comparable to the other big brand wedges I’ve tested or gamed from Vokey, Callaway, Cleveland and TM so if you’ve ever played any of the recent models from those brands then these will be very comparable! Wilson do recommend that higher handicap golfers do choose options with a touch more bounce to give you that bit of forgiveness with ground contact (e.g. 12 degrees in your most lofted wedge!). Hope that helps!
Interesting video! I might try the Wilson wedges next time I am buying wedges. Have been using Vokey for many years, and I absolutely love them! Bought the Taylormade wedges a few years ago, but sold them shortly after as they felt like rubbish compared to Vokey. You might say I'm a big Vokey guy 😂
Hi Torbjørn! I think that’s the thing with us golfers, when you find something you like it can be really hard to consider an alternative because feel and trust in your golf clubs is so important so I hear you! Vokey’s are fantastic!!! 👍🏼
Loving your content. I had a lesson yesterday and the pro introduced me to the Wilson Staff Model golf ball. I managed 10 yards on my driver distance. Any chance of you doing a comparison with the ProV 1.
Hi Harry! It’s coming very soon! I’ve been testing both the Staff and the Staff X on the course lately and like both! Full review and comparison to Pro v1 and Pro v1x coming soon! Thanks for watching and your kind words!!👍🏼
Wilson is making some really good products again. Triad balls are really good and $35 instead of $55. Their mb/cb irons also top of the pack now. Their wedges also look like Vokeys from address, though the feel is completely different. I personally don’t like forged wedges. Prefer the click of the Vokey.
Hi Taylor! Thanks for watching and sharing your views! Interestingly I didn’t really notice too much of a feel difference during the test hitting my Vokey SM9 shortly before I filmed the video to capture the baselining data sets BUT feel is incredibly person and we all notice different things so absolutely trust your gut on that! Agree that Wilson all round are making some great golf clubs and balls right now! Thanks for watching! 👍🏼
Hi Rasmusk! Thanks for watching my video and for your question. It’s because when I used to watch TH-cam reviews and the reviewer told me the club was brilliant without benchmarking it against another club it was hard for me to trust that subjective opinion and make an informed objective decision… So I always like to hit the club I’m reviewing and give my honest thoughts backed up by Trackman data but at least offer viewers a comparison so you can see how it compares to something as close as possible. Sadly as a left handed golfer, the only wedges I have access to are my own so I felt that in this video a comparison to my own 56 degree wedge with me clearly calling out the lofts are different and that understandably doesn’t make the comparison 100% like for like would still give people a chance to see that the Wilson performance is incredible for the price point! 👍🏼
Hi Terry! That’s good to know! Not sure if we have them in the UK (but I might be wrong!)?!? But if I see some I’ll try to test them - but I think you’re backing up my point that you don’t need to pay through the roof for good wedges right? 👍🏼
Great review as always is the high toe more forgiving and would these wedges be ok for I’m a senior (15/17) handicapper. Would go for graphite shaft.

@@weekendtourpro many thanks!
Great video. I have the Wilson “Staff Model Hi-Toe” wedges and love them.
Thanks Steve! Nice to hear from someone who owns Wilson wedges that their longer term review matches my first impressions! 👍🏼

Totally agree John! I’ve been super impressed! Hope you’re good? 👍🏼
@@weekendtourpro cataract operation went well. Got to keep putting drops in for another 2 weeks. Seeing the surgeon again on 7th June.

Why are you testing a 54 degree vs a 56? That's just odd.

The Tour Edge wingman wedges are better and cheaper that Wilson .

They are cheaper but being left handed as well they only come RH. Not sure why though.
