    I genuinely couldn't believe this when I saw the clip. It was outrageous and she should not be seen on a broadcast for a while until she improves her attitude. I agree it's not an unforgivable error.
    Bleh actually gives ESL Impact some legitimacy by being on the broadcast. You could argue that it's beneath someone who has worked majors to work on Impact but the fact he's happy to do it speaks volumes for his professionalism and desire to work.

    • @darrenfleming7901
      @darrenfleming7901 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +68

      not only is him working there more legitimacy, but actually analyzing the performances and criticizing teams that don't live up to expectations is how any analyst is supposed to talk about a legitimate serious competition. I've noticed some people they hire in different women's leagues seem to just wanna celebrate the fact that it's a women's league instead of really treating it like a serious competitive scene, which is counterproductive in the end.

    She's still yet to apologize or say anything about it. I wonder if in her mind it was still justified and she thinks there was no mistake on her part? Sometimes even if you think you were right, it's best to apologize so that you're not living with a loose end. If that is too much for her ego to handle, she's basically ruined her career as a result. Although I will say, who knows if she did apologize already behind the scenes or make amends with Bleh.

    Seems to be all about gender. Being a female league, maybe she was a bit too high on 'girl power'. She immediately said, "Can you leave the studio?" and ended on, "You don't deserve to be here."
    It isn't what was said that upset her, it was who was saying it. In her mind, he had no right to make judgements or even be on the desk.

    Ive watched Impact segments before this and there often was this kind of tension towards Bleh from Hedje and others like 'watch your step this is our league' kind of vibes. It doesnt surprise me it ended up exploding in this way. If the women scene wants to grow they need to be able to deal with objective critisism. Right now the mods in the Impact chat ban anything slightly offensive/controversial/not fully positive instantly basicly killing any hype in the chat during matches.
    The entire product is treated with kiddie gloves and generates no hype. The music they use sounds like someone googled a playlist called 'empowering women music'. When I tune in to the Impact league I want to get hyped for the matches and be entertained, but it feels more like a lecture and marketing exercise than a real league.

    • @Crossovahh
      @Crossovahh 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +15

      Moderating twitch chat is whatever because twitch chat enjoyers are idiots (myself included). But Bleh is a professional and a great analyst. Telling someone literally hired to critique performance to stop doing his job is just baffling. Not sure what Hedje wants, after every match, everyone at the desk should just say: "GG WP NTNT"? Not sure if Hedje has ever seen another eSports or even traditional sporting event, if you have a shit game, you're going to get criticised, that's literally his job.
      Feel like Hedje's outburst is a bad look for women's esports, rather than objectively applying analysis that is done at *every single men's CS lan with an analyst desk* she's now gone viral and added fuel to the fire that women's esports should be infantilized. She is a terrible caster and now a terrible analyst. There are plenty of capable and talented women that deserve that spot over her.

    reddit threads don't show consensus, because users decide which posts to click and interact with. users who are interested in a topic are overrepresented in threads about it. when a post supports a certain view, people who share that view will be overrepresented in the comments. people who disagree will more often ignore it. this is how you get polar opposite circlejerks within the same subreddit.

    Recently saw a video about a Valorant match between Fnatic and a Tier 2 Japanese team and Fnatic was heavily criticized because they BARELY WON against said team and then C9 who was way lower in standing stomped said team basically. Who want's to bet she wouldn't have made a fuss if she was part of that discussion and yet she got pissed about this team that actually LOST despite being higher in standings than their opponents. Casters can be biased towards a team thats true but it should never get to the point that you would be outright aggressive towards another member on camera for criticizing the team you like, thats what happens in discord calls not what happens on an esports broadcast. She needs to get her shit together or get a different job if she can't manage to control herself and be amicable or at the very least more respectful in your interaction with your colleagues.

    Maybe irrelevant but the reason there are women's leagues are not because some men are weird(some are ofc) but because there would be no female pro without.

      @@ewweg I don't know why people try to pretend there isn't an advantage for men even in computer games. Like, the pool of players that are transgender is microscopic compared to the female player base, yet in the valorant women's scene, the two best players in the world this past year were teenage trans girls, lol. 2 people born men who are now women just dominated the pro scene, and people want to pretend it's just cuz there aren't enough girls playing or that boys are just big meanies and won't team with them. Genuine question as someone who has been a fan of League esports for 12 years but... could you even imagine what would've happened if a woman was on the same team as the type of guys that were pro players back then? The amount of drama if there was cohabitation in any of the team houses- I think LCS would've buried itself irrepairably and its reputation in the first 3 years of existing.
      Just generally how horrible the general fan reaction to any woman in the scene was at the time. Remilia played in the LCS and the way she was treated by much of the community was absolutely abhorrent and disgusting. Even after she passed her twitter replies were full of the most horrific posts I've ever seen celebrating her death and dehumanising her- years after she retired from LCS.
      You're not wrong but RL absolutely isn't wrong either. The two mainstream reactions to women in the space was to either sexualise them if they showed themself or mock them for trying to even think about going pro for years while the scene was growing.
