I really love the fact you added darker skin in this video. It really helps sell the process for all types of skin as well as give more detail. I draw more comic style art, but have wanted to draw this style for a few projects like Tekken & Street Fighter art. I'm truly grateful for you!!!
Lol I love learning I've been doing things the hard way! Question: When I've painted, for example, Night Elves, I've never liked my 'blood layer' look. Do you ever switch up those colors for fantasy skin types? The duller blues and purples is where I run into issues with my 'blood layer'
I can't really express how helpful this is! I just recently found out about your channel trough Instagram and oh boy that's some really good content that you got there. You, Sinix Design and Marco Bucci are my go-to when I looking to improve my paint. Keep the good work and I hope you do a total about blending the lines into the painting someday
You're one of the most helpful art YT accts here, Thank u so much. If u ever have time would u think ab doing a hair tutorial? Or painting the face? - a struggling beginner child
I really appreciate you making these videos, i admit i screamed a lil when i saw the plant videos like with grass and the leaves, as im struggling super badly with it :) and this is also super helpful!
@@Gammatrap :) i hope i get good at making tutorials and stuff once im ready to make videos, i think id really enjoy teaching art, so seeing how sucessful you are is super inspiring !
This is amazing! Could you possibly do a same sort of coloring/shading tutorial for fur/hair/feathers like you have for skin? It’s always something I’ve struggled with
Question if youve got time to answer: as an artist what did you struggle the most with? What concepts did you find most interesting? Whats your favorite thing about drawing and have you also noticed how having a "goal"in mind with ones drawing can tottaly change how it turns out? For example having something like...if youre going for a specific style or to convey a certain "idea" rather than just excecute a basic concept? Like the difference between "im gonna draw a weird bat thing" and "im going to try to make the most disgusting thing i can, with the most unpleasant features"? Cause ive realized thats a thing for me and i was wondering if anyone else got that sorta vibe...art thing going. Or have i just...figured this out late lol
my god this explanation has really opened my eyes. I've been struggling with skin for a while now, and i think this and the previous video has made me realize how i can really push my art to a whole new level. thank you very much
I find it easier to make a solid layer, invert the mask and paint on the mask. It's much easier to go back and adjust the color and see how it changes in real time.
Hollyyyy.... it is awesome. Thank you sosososoooooo much😍😍😍
My pleasure! Glad to help!
Color value method always gives me headaches, this trick over here is quite nice, I'll test it. Thanks for sharing dude.
