    Thought of another one.
    Those fences that won't dissapear after you've cleared a roadblock. They can damage and get stuck to your truck.

      Man, I ***HATE*** those damned things. Got one wedge under a trailer tire at high speed and it bounced the trailer so high that I lost the cargo.

      Or “clearing a rock slide” yet proceeds to leave a bunch of the small rocks in the road to damage suspension every time....

      Leave a truck or a trailer near the cleared debries (fences, boxes etc). The debries will diaspear and the map won't recreate them if a truck or trailer is nearby (very useful for shortcuts exits outside garage, or the heavy debries inside the factory areas in amur/don.

    I want a new feature where you can clear a proper path and pave the road permanently. perhaps over time the road degrades and needs upkeep.

      Fixing the roads would be awesome, Also having barriers and cones remain cleared even if you have to leave a map.

      Honestly they should make this feature like in Death Stranding where you could join in online with other players and contribute stuff to others.

      That's already a thing with muddy trails, and it takes YEARS for paved roads to show signs of degradation.

      I like the idea of paving roads, but road degradation just sounds like it would get in the way of enjoying the rest of the game. Maybe it could be an optional feature.

      Clearing rocks and trees from roads should be permanent. Making plows and front-end loaders useful.
      As for fixing roads, I think hauling loads of gravel and grading it out with a road grader or other equipment with plow/blade/bucket would be both fun and add more things to do. And if they need upkeep, just make it very slow to degrade. And gravel only, since it's an off road game, that would make damaging the roads by driving on them more consistent with the game.
      But persistent map changes would be nice.

    My biggest urk really has to do with the engines and gearboxes and how they perform. Engine rpm and wheel speed are inconsistent in gears and just dosent sound or act right at times. Along with the fact that in Auto mode the trans won't downshift unless it's all the way back to 1 is strange.

      press LB (the activate shifter button) to force the gearbox to shift. If you're in 4 or 5 and it is going to stall, if you press LB it will shift to 3 or 2 and keep going. It also works for faster upshifts.

      I have had success using the high gear as an intermediate between the auto gears on the truck. It is different for each truck tho

    I did like how in the phase 5 map you didn't need the best trucks like in phase 4. I can now use scout's and highway trucks again :D

      Sadly they're kinda going down the SCS route with ETS/ATS of focusing 95% on DLC content and the other 5% on the actual game.

    The one with the maintenance frame addon is one I've always wondered about. An auxiliary tank that's 80% the size of a dedicated fuel tanker somehow has over 10% MORE fuel? I also think they should bring back the Mudrunner style of Russian trucks having different styles of addons than NA trucks.

      The large tanks have strangely small capacities overall. The fuel container I transported during conscription service was a bit smaller than the white fuel tank, but had the capacity of some 10 000 litres compared to 2000 litres.

    Agree 100% with the fuel amounts being so low on some trucks. Paystar 5600TS is my favorite truck but I can’t ever seem to use it for any decently long job without it running out of fuel.

      I 100% agree with this. it has the same cap for fuel (76L) as the Paystar 5070 and the internatonal HX and guzzles 10-15L a miniute. (less fuel than the WS TS and More consumption of said fuel) the only way to use this is using a fuel addon and trying to use a saddle low then anything else

      That’s mostly for balance purposes though, why would you ever use any other truck if you can ship 3-7 cargo at a time in a truck that has no weaknesses and almost every add on in the game like the Paystar Does lol

    This is spot on. Others to consider: *trailers should be sellable in the wild for at least half the price and when delivered to store then at whole value or somewhat.
    *Chain on tires should be an add on to each tire type not as different tier.
    *i would not even mind to pay for fuel on casual mode or they should create a 'medium' mode
    *add a manual save slot that separates from autosave(this will save you headaches from topping on a garage-less map)
    *CTIS should be implemented
    *tree branches should break
    *fat trees should break leaving the stump when rammed on speed for a damage ofc
    *add better performance upgrades that are unlockable at higher level or as reward on finishing contracts on a map(gives you motivation)

    i wish we could have a mode or a setting that would enable packing cargo the way we want like we have in farming simulator where it just put a belt on the cargo and it stays the way you packed them

    engine sounds are not deep like in mudrunner.Game literally doesnt use the subwoofer and thus even the biggest trucks feel like they have a 1.9 in them

    Like all these points.
    I find it very annoying when you have big 8x8 or 10x10 and the add ons only take up half of the frame and extend over it. Medium logs add on for big trucks is very good example. 👍🏼

    as an older gamer, my biggest issue is the weather and time system. it makes it very hard on the eyes because the brightness levels are always changing. this is especially true for maps without snow. it also makes the game feel dark and depressing. the whole atmosphere is dreadful.

      Yep. It's all set in the northern hemisphere in the early autumn, at best. Kola Peninsula made me sad. Not only how quick it got dark but how, when it was light, it was getting twilight again. Was so glad to finish those maps. Maybe they could do a reigion where it's summer in the north. I mean, why haven't they.

      @@affalaffaa all the maps look like ghost towns that nobody would live in. the roads are pretty much undriveable to any highway trucks and tires. there should be at lease one good road on every map that leads to all loading stations. except for logging. sure you might need to build a few bridges, but that's fine. of course there still should be missions that involve going off road, but they should be for exploring, towers, upgrades and trucks.

    I have always thought that you should be able to repair just by being close to a source of spare parts not by having to be hitched to a service trailer (similar to how refuelling works) I also think you should be able to re-stock your spare parts in your scout from a service trailer

      Yes this would be great indeed. It feels so stupid to have to drive every little repair container to the resupply zone. Makes the small repair attachments a lot less useful in hard mode.

    3:32 I think Dan is heavier than Voron Grad, so adding same weight is may not affect same.
    But my complaints are different.
    First of all, this is a physics based simulation, at least it has to be. But wheel to ground contact feeling is too weak, sometimes wheel is not even touching to the ground. This feeling was better at Mudrunner / Spintires. But the best feeling I was experinced is BeamNG and Rigs of Rods.
    Also weight feeling is lacking too. The ZIL 130 from Spintires had a better weight feeling from all of the trucks from Snowrunner. When a rear wheel of loaded ZIL 130 falls into a pothole, the truck makes me feels like almost tilt over. But in Snowrunner, a fully loaded Truck doesn't make me feel like I'm driving a loaded truck.
    Lastly, there is no water physics. When I stop my truck in flowing river, all of the flowing water stops. But in Mudrunner / Spintires, the water sweeps the truck and flows between the gaps in truck body. Also Truck sweeps stagnant water in Mudrunner / Spintires.

    A "standard" third person camera option like any other driving game would be nice as well. One that stays locked in the direction you are looking. The default auto-tracking and smoothing makes it feel like drunk driving in GTA

      Yeah, the swinging camera is very annoying and occasionally the cause of mishaps as your view changes unexpectedly on rough terrain. (but at least MudRunner/SnowRunner got rid of the terrible "floppy camera" that the original Spintires has)

      as someone who came from spintires, i have no problems with the snowrunner camera, its centered on the truck, what else could you ask for. its not hard to turn your mouse to point the camera in whichever direction youre driving

    One more thing that triggers me is that you can't repair vehicles from maintenance trailers unless you attach it to a vehicle. Meaning you can get refueled from a parked fuel trailer, but you can't get repaired from a parked maintenance trailer. Makes them freaking useless.

    I like the crane and bed limitationss,it offers more diversity to the vehicles,if every vehicle is a jack of all trades then you get one and you use that the whole game if its good enough like the Tayga you will never use the others,hell you can even get multiple OP trucks like the Tayga if all trucks could do everything,so it offers diversity.
    We do need more tire designs that's for sure,plus the ability to control the pressure in them.
    We do need more ranks but then we also need more additional content locked behind the higher lvls right? and since the lvls are so hard to get i think the leveling system is perfect as it is.
    The trailer limitations again are great cuz they offer more diversity,but i admit the Cat needs the ability to tow trailers,as it is in the game is totally useless,sure its big and powerful and one of the most stable trucks in the game,but you can't use it for nothing,for towing cargo you can't for obvious reasons,but exploring you can't cuz its too big and too heavy plus it goes thorugh fuel like crazy
    The cargo specs would be good to have
    The tires specs on the other hand yeah i agree we need more precise,i downloaded a mod which had custom tires and when i saw the description and how much grip it has on which type of terrain it was amazing,i knew based on my course and tasks what type of tire i need,i didn't just got the biggest damn mudtire i could and gone towing cargo across asphalt,that is what you do in Snowrunner as it is,so Vehicle specs again are a quality of life change if they'd add it
    A rebalance of all addons is also needed,why would i carry a whole cistern truck for 400litters when i can get the scout that can carry the most fuel and i would be probabliy close to the cistern capacity with a scout =)))
    The map mods thing i don't mind,for now the game provides alot of map content,but i admit it would be nice if they could make so that the mod maps add themjselves along the normal maps,basically mod maps become regions in the game,it would be great
    The medium log trailers are ok,it just depends on what you want to do with it,if you want just to carry them then dump the trailer at the nearest trailer store than use the towed trailer,if you want to keep on carrying medium logs then the medium one is better,basically if oyu do a one time medium log carry the trailer is ok cuz you can have a bed or something behind so you can do something else after,but if you use the semi trailer type you're stuck with its attacher accesory
    Small cargoes do need more slots on the manual loading,afterall its a pain to spawn 1 small load,load it with a cran then repear several times,its better if you could spawn 3 or 4 then just mass load them one after the other since you're in the crane then go,the cargo system in general needs a rework,i remember on the second Michigan map you need to carry concrete in the top corner of the map,i carried it on the crane without being able to "pack the load",so ihad to dump it there cuz the game didn't accept it,go back to the garage change the truck for one that can pack it,go back there load it only to be able to unload it =)))))))))) it sucked
    The winch also needs a bit of a rework,but overall the biggest improvement for me would be a full support for all types of controllers not only fucking Xbox which is garbage btw,also the tire preasure feature they added in the OG Spintires on the latest DLC the amphibius one

      after driving all the trucks consistently for everything, i went back to the taiga and nots that good at all. needs lifted suspension and etc. that truck is mediocre at best when compared to the other trucks in the game.

    You are right with almost everything, but I remember that we have to unload cargo manualy in some missions in wisconsin. I must do that missions twice because in first try I did not use truck with crane.

    I really hope they fix those things sometime soon. A couple of them are really frustrating to deal with.
    Also those fences that remain there, when you fix the bridge. That's really annoying because they can deal a lot of damage.
    Trying to launch a coop server is often quite difficult and broken, especially if you need a LAN for it.

    I mainly play CO-OP, so some of these problems will not appear on single player:
    -Desync problem when changing maps and carrying cargo (Mainly logs). The trucks keep stopped on the map entrance on your vision, and if you enter on it, it will be teleported back (Happened with a special cargo with me).
    -If you're trying to unflip a truck and your friend try to turn on the engine, the cable will be removed.
    -When delivering a cargo, there's high chances of one of them bug, disappearing or counting as delivered 2 times.
    -No reason to use the Fuel tank, if it carries less fuel than the Repair module...
    -And other random information, low usage of the metal detector, only used on 2 missions and never again.
    There's other things, but I don't remember, and some already appeared on other video, like the RPM, Tyre Pressure etc.

      There is 1 reason to use the fuel tank module, you can't use trailers with the repair one.

      i keep getting the "soft hitch" bug in co op where regardless if i use a high or low saddle if i go around a corner to fast or nudge a tree/obstacle the trailer becomes detached and i am constantly maneuvering/winching to re-hitch. sometimes this can be sorted by going to the garage changing the saddle then the truck then back again but not only is this a faf but it doesn't always work not to mention you have to drive back to the cargo to re-hitch (hopefully) and continue.

    that's what i have been saying all along, they don't care about fixing the game (its not broken but you understand) they just care about maximizing income by releasing new game passes and or vehicles because they can actually sell them. nobody would pay extra for things in this video to get fixed.

    Agree with ALL your points, with something extra to add. When choosing logging frame attachments, it'll be a nice quality of life for the game to also state the log size the attachment can carry.

      all frame attachment carry short logs except CAT which carry medium logs....for long logs we have log carrier aka log cart and for medium logs we have trailer.

      That is correct, but it looks like missing information since the trailer shop actually displays available cargo slots for each trailer. To me, it feels like going to a shop to buy a bicycle rack for my car but the sales man don't know how many bicycles it can carry until I actually try to fit some bicycles.

      The one for short logs says short in the name and the medium one just logs. Luckily the medium one has been added to more trucks by now.

    Nice video SD1ONE! Personally, I would add:
    - Not being able to fix truck body separately in the garage in hard mode for a cheaper price, instead you have to fix everything for a single fee.
    - Not being able to transfer repair points between trailers / add-ons (you can do this with fuel, but not repair points). This makes equipping and unequipping add-ons with repair points in the garage in hard mode, a big waste of money.
    - Most US/Western trucks have no mud tyres (purposely handicapping them?).
    - Give the Derry Longhorn 4520 more engine power!
    - Give the ability to have crane + frame add-on + trailer on trucks that are big enough. Almost all Russian trucks cannot connect a trailer when using a crane + frame add-on.
    - Terrain conditions don't change when it rains. Rain just seems to impact the game visually (I could be wrong here)
    - Having the option to manually change gears. Game AI auto gear change is sometimes pretty bad.
    - Placing a crane on the Azov 5319 wastes a lot of it's frame space (crane placement on this truck is incorrect, IMO).
    - Super heavy trailer (very useful when you play alone), have very long landing gear / rest legs, even when you attach it. These legs will easily get caught on terrain and small hills, especially if your truck doesn't have a lot of ground clearance.

    True 😂 Also sometimes you can’t add a winch to a truck. The dot doesn’t appear on the front bumper for example. You have to change the camera angle first to fix it.

      Yeah...Also there's a similar issue when you mark your route in map...it sometimes don't mark your route unless you adjust the map orientation....it's very obvious on PC with keyboard mouse.

    that's a nice compilation, but my main concern with snowrunner is the co-op desync issues. this games multiplayer is a mess, but it's so much more fun to play with friends.

      Usually it works well but the other day we had a glitch where I moved a few meters in my friends truck with mission cargo while we desynced. On his screen his truck did not move. When he got back into his truck, I saw it spawn to the previous location without a trailer. In hindsight this could have been preventable if I had just kept on driving his truck until he saw me synced again including cargo, but we did not realize and it should not happen.

    All is true, hope they fix some. Most weird thing is leveling I have 30 lvl and about 30% of game complete. So 70% tasks and playing without leveling up? OH man...c'mon...😵my second and third worst bug of this game is lack of add-ons and trailers. Just like you show here, some scouts can have trailer, some trailers have collisions while turning, they can't do full turn because they hit cabin, or add-on but they can be attached in other way in some truck it seams like there are no collision but trailers are unavailable on some trucks. Big logs are far way easy to deliver than medium logs. Lots of things to repair ! IF i were in studio main director, I would say "Stop making season pass! no more paintings add-ons, maps until you repair that bugs! Go get to work"I have had 100% of game until Hardcore mode came up. I started new game, now i feel I'm playing and making missions! finally paying for fuel like i should from the start. I don't teleport to garage after completing task I drive there it cost less money, I manage my logistics better. But you know what is one more thing irritating ? after completing all tasks on region you have to pay to teleport all you trucks to next region... You can't drive to next region manually. So you better remember that when the time comes to have money. Nice video cool to see I am not the only one here with this. You got my sub now 👍😎

    - After you build bridges/clear the road, traffic cones/fences stay. They are very annoying and damage your truck.
    - If you're playing with keyboard, it registers 100% throttle when you press accelerate. This is a huge problem with powerful trucks, makes small maneuvers impossible because of rapid spin of tires loses traction instantly + truck goes into wheelie and front tires can't turn the truck. Both going forward and backward. Even in low- gear. Nobody drives a car with full throttle, especially when accelerating, decelerating and especially doing off road.
    - Rocks can be incredibly annoying. So many times I got stuck because of a rock that a regular person could move away.
    - Trailers with rotating front axels are very hard to back. Especially with the SR physics/traction and the 100% throttle issue mentioned above. Also, they are useful irl because they are more maneuverable but in SR front axel just locks very early and skids anyway. Backing with semi trailers are easy af, I wish bumper trailers had fixed front axels too.
    - Can't restock repair supplies. Or I don't know how.
    - Cargo system. I can see those small boxes and I can see the wasted space. I'm pretty sure I can load some logs on side beds. I like the simple way of loading cargo. But I would love to have a manual loading system with no limitations.
    - Difficulty. As a beginner, I didn't want to start in hard mode because your game literally can stall and you might have to start over. I was a complete noob and I got stuck, tipped over a lot. But the normal difficulty is extremely, I mean extremely dull. There's no consequences for your mistakes. And hard mode is more annoying than challenging. It's just everything costs money. I'd like to have a real hard mode with limited recovery, like 3 times per map. Cargo costs money, limited. But if you can salvage those lying around you can make nice profit. Repair costs a lot in garage but cheaper with trailers. Adjust manual loading so trailers who can take 2 slots with auto loading can take 3 units with careful manual loading for example, but I'd like a more sophisticated system, for example like Farming Simulator.
    - Maps don't change enough as you progress. I'd like to see more drastic improvements. I fix 4 bridges, but there's still some small gap somewhere I'd like to have a small bridge over. In the first map, I found drain motors to pump the flooded water in a mission, but they were never used. I wish regions got much better and improved with our progress.
    - Tire system is boring. Get the biggest mud tires for everything but chains for ice. Rest is redundant. It increases fuel consumption maybe, but maps and mission routes are not big enough to require multiple refuels. Make tires get damaged on unsuitable surfaces, make tires damage suspension when they are below 50% hp, make suspension damage other modules below 50% hp etc.
    - Vehicle rescue missions are easy. Make us have to use towing trucks, big cranes etc. Now you can just attach a winch and can even turn on the engine of the towed vehicle and move it to the destination.

    These are the exact things they could improve plus the logging - There are too limited options for 6x6 trucks to carry medium logs even though they could've implemented atleast for the russian trucks the medium log carrier from MudRunner. Also I'd like them to add double medium log semi trailer to add the option of carrying more medium logs at once, let's say in more convetional or immersive way. Then the logging crane and the physics of unpacked logs. Jesus, I loved loading logs by crane in MudRunner! In SnowRunner however I cannot stand it... logs feel way to heavy and the crane way too weak, too nimble to do something. :D And the lack of specialized vehicles such as bulldozers, skidders or even my favorite forwarder. I'd love to see forwarder instead of the CAT 770G for example... the only really special vehicle in SnowRunner at the moment is the CAT talehandler and it's usage is rather limited to just one region I think. And the last thing, add more cargo types such as coal, sand (I mean sand, not packed sand), gravel to expand the usage of the talehandler and CATs as a dumptrucks plus adding tippers as an addon for most trucks. These would've been nice quality of life improvements and the game would have become even more fun and interesting.

    Got this game a few days ago and it is a time sinkhole, I love it, and yet I agree with all of your pet peeves. One thing that bothers me though (if you haven't mentioned it) is that at the garage when changing addons (flatbed ) you can't what space each one has available especially for the big trucks, is it two or three slots? Also the missions, after uncovering an area I have to go to each mission on the map and re-discover said missions again, it makes sense to discover a mission if the area is dark but not when you uncover an area. Finally it would be nice to rotate the vehicles in the garage to see them from all angles

      Regarding missions....here's a tip...every time you see a mission just accept it to activate it because only after that you can see them in task menu when you open your map...Also if you're on easy mode then don't forget to sell upgrades that you're not using specially before selling a truck.

    I haven't got far enough to use some of the things you mention in this video. Now I know to look out for them.
    One thing that annoys me is when you are driving along and your truck (most recently the twin steer for me) bounces off a little rock or tree, bouncing backward, and takes damage. Sometimes I angle the view so I can see what it was. Perhaps something modelled but not visually created?
    Excellent content! The developers would do well to pay attention to your well researched and well presented observations.

    Another random one that drives me nuts, when manually loading cargo, when you go to spawn another cargo item on the loading platform, your crane automatically resets to its packed position. Maybe that’s been fixed in more recent versions; I admit I haven’t played in several months. That and trucks that are far more capable in real life are next to useless in the game.

    One thing i'd like to see is the option to change the menu screen.
    There could be a setting which changes it to what you select.
    Random would give you a random main menu from all of the ones we hade before.
    Region would gove you a main menu for the region you were in last (off the main campaign ones). A example is that when you're in Michigan, you get the main menu screen from Michigan (i think the initial release one because it hade Michigan from what i remember), but if you go to Wisconsin, you get the Wisconsin/Phase 3 menu.
    But you can also select which region you want for main menu. Useful for when you just want to listen to the music. (I actually want to have the Wisconsin menu back because it's music was my favourite)

    I understand it a bit better now after having played the game and completed some maps, but in the beginning I had no idea that some cargo was heavier than others or how many slots they were using. I wish the game could explain that better.

    Biggest problem atm: Heavy haulers are outpulled by the medium 6x6 offroad trucks. This is mainly due to not simulating engine HP/torque curves and the effects of gearing. A simple fix would be to boost the engine power of the heavy haulers, some by quite a bit such as the Derry Longhorns, and some by just a bit, like the Kolobs. Whilst a complete fix would be to realistically simulate engine power & gearing.
    Next biggest problem: Space management on the trucks is effin HORRIBLE! Most trucks have loads of unused excess open space available when you put on cargo beds, log carriers etc.. The next Tatra Phoenix and 815-7 are esp. bad here. Looking forward to the day the devs understand that IRL the available space on trucks is actually used!

    Very good video. But you forgot a few main things: not correctly working gearbox (it's a speed limiter nothing more), the absurd snow stopping 50" mud tired 10x10 from crawling forwards, shallow water crossings that slow you down way too much when coming in at speed and the icy asphalt physics.

    Excellent video! My pet peeves with SnowRunner (PC) that are not mentioned in this vid: Mouse pointer hard to see during snowfall on muddy terrain. Winch points are not easily distinguishable without moving the camera and even then I don't get the preferred point on truck and/or tree. Fallen poles shouldn't destroy half of my truck when driving over it. Quick winching should snap to strongest tree in view, not some weak branchling. Can we have in-/de-flatable tyres back? Towed trucks get easily stuck on corners/trees because they don't follow the track of the towing truck. Blue snow is too extreme. Still frequent glitches in MP. Can I switch between various main menu backgrounds to see the previous Phase's backgrounds again?

    I really hate how in multiplayer or even single player for that fact, you can’t daisy chain winches...like even two winches out at once is all I ask. If there’s two points to winch on the front of a truck, why can’t my buddy and I both hook on the front and pull together when the situation arises???
    I understand the need to “limit” certain vehicles, but the fuel capacities on some trucks is absolute bs. The ANK is based on the 5 ton series, which had a minimum fuel capacity of 81 gallons, but they give it 53 gallons in game. And of course they make it drink fuel like crazy, so it’s useless for anything other than short trips.

    Ok, the one with the winched vehicle not being able to unload was most likely a bug in the early versions of the game. Since, obviously the vehicles have to be inside that yellow drop-off point thing. It doesn't make sense to be able to unload multiple vehicles with 1 of them being inside the drop-off point. Luckily that's fixed now, i guess.

      But you can still unload a trailer as long as at least a tiny part of the truck is in the area. If you drive too far and only the trailer is in the area, no unloading for you!

    Augh. I was just playing Mudrunner again yesterday and I was reminded of so many things that were better in that game over Snowrunner and now I see this. So many things I hadn't noticed.
    I will bring more attention to logging specifically though. Logging in Mudrunner is SO MUCH BETTER than Snowrunner, it's not even fair.

    My biggest gripe was how mods worked , mudrunner was definitely more user friendly when it came to just downloading and using mod maps and trucks, and honestly I had more fun doing that in a sandbox setting then I did playing the vanilla game....... been awhile since I've loaded it up so maybe thats changed

    Some small trucks should definitely be able to tow scout trailers. Tatra 805 looks weird towing trailers that are bigger than the truck itself. At the same time with 900 l fuel tanker it would be the best service truck and with fuel addon and radar trailer would be great for exploration.

    My comments/requests/ideas: Have an option to 're-winch to vehicle' to make hooking up to a vehicle faster, such as when going to another map, getting gas in both vehicles, etc. Allow us to gas both vehicles without switching when both are in proper area. Have options for auto-winch, such as attach to biggest (sturdiest) branch/tree first. I like the new hide-able hud, but they should allow a button press to see the hud for 3 seconds or something. I agree with you on better instructions.. I played for hundreds of hours before figuring out I could use the mouse to 'draw a line' winch to a specific item. Good video, love (and sometimes hate) the game!

      On PC there's a button to toggle hud on and off...you can set it up in control settings... don't know about console though

      you can also setup buttons for instant shifting to low, low+-, high, auto etc gears in control settings as well...I use that numpad on my keyboard which I key mapped similar to gear layout i.e num8 for high, num5 for auto and so on, It's very useful

      i hate birch trees they actually attack you, i am not getting int the fact that you are driving a 10T+ truck that would squash 90% of the trees in the game but the fact that a slender birch tree can catch your truck in passing and send it flying for 10 meters or more.

    TBH, some of those tanks are for the air brake system, there are generally 2 fuel tanks and 1 - 2 air tanks given the size of the truck.

    One of the annoyances I've got with trailers is the step deck semi trailer. You should be able to put 1 unit of cargo on the step over the 5th wheel. The space is there and in RL they'd put a pallet there, but in Snowrunner it's just a longer trailer with no extra capacity.

    I have a feeling the devs refuse to revisit old trucks. The winch on Freightliner semi has been there for a long time and it still causes the same problems. The problem with Khan's trailer has been there for a long time too. Tatarin still can't float but also still doesn't have a snorkel. Tatras still have a limited amount of add-ons. And instead of modifying the ANK to accept add-ons, they just made another version of the same truck.
    Another nitpick is an absolute lack of maps that would make some use of the highway setups. Not only the highway trucks, but also highway tires and highrange transmissions. There's always some obstacle that you need offroad equipment to get around.

      Artificial difficulties are the worst. They already created hard mode for people that have too much free time. I'm just trying to have fun and deliver cargos, however I have to make additional refuels and more trips to deliver cargo because "they didn't want to create a meta". That's bullshit.

    I would like game mechanics options.
    Things you would set up while starting a new save that would be unchanging after.
    *On/off for rank requirements for vehicles. (disables achievements)
    *on/off for rank requirements for parts. (disables achievements)
    *Day/night cycle options. (how long is day, how long is night) (always day, always night)
    *Fuel capacity on a ratio slider from 0% to +300%
    0 would be vanilla, 0% would give 100% of vanilla fuel capacity; while +300% would be 400% vanilla. (changes above 0% disable achievements)
    *Durability slider 0% to +100%. (setting above 0% disables achievements)
    *on/off detailed suspensions. When on, choice of shock absorbers would be added, with damping rates from -100% to +200% with 0% being vanilla, in 50% increments. (-100, - 50, 0, +50, +100, +150, +200) we all know how soft suspension is better off road and firm is better for loads. This doesn't change springs though, only rebound.
    *Springs would be available in 50% increments from -50 to +150% stiffness. Stiffer suspension would be best paired with stiffer shocks to handle rebound.
    *anti-sway bar upgrades. Stock 0%, removed -100%, Heavy Duty +100%.
    *TRANSMISSION options. "Arcade" (the way it is now) and "Realistic" (vehicles have options of automatic or manual transmissions)(scouts would have 4, 5 & 6-speed automatics, and 4, 5 & 6-speed manuals. Transfer case is required before installing an AWD upgrade, transfer cases would offer single speed or 2-speed low/high or 3-speed low/normal/highway setups)(2-speed gives off-road low and regular ranges, 3-speed gives lower-low and higher-low and regular ranges. (scouts must stop to shift into and out of each range)
    (big trucks would get 4, 5, & 6-speed automatics and 4, 5, 6-speed manuals and single-speed or 2-speed or 3-speed transfer cases or "split" 2-speed transfer cases.
    (single speed transfer cases simpky enable AWD.)
    (2-speed highway transfer case would give 8, 10 & 12-speeds for trucks)

    *on/off option for engine swaps allowing any engine in any vehicle as long as it fits. Would give rediculous engine swap options. Would add an additional part to put in other than factory engine options, "Engine adapter" and would be $1500 for scouts and $3500 for trucks.
    *on/off option for transmissions/transfer case swaps, allow any transmission or transfer case in the correct size/duty class(cannot use scout transmission in semi and vice versa) to be installed into any truck of that size/duty class. ((engine swap option and realistic transmissions must be ON to use this option.)) (transmission adapters would be $300 for scouts and $800 for trucks. Transfer case adapters would be $100 for scouts and $200 for trucks.)
    The biggest trucks such as the Caterpillar 745C and KOLOB 74941 would not have the swap option.
    *on/off fuel costs money. (ON gives special achievement on game completion)
    *on/off repairs cost money. (ON gives special achievement on game completion)
    *on/off recovery costs money. (ON gives special achievement on game completion)
    *on/off/salvage: trucks found are free (ON, means recovered vehicles are free, OFF means they are unlocked for purchase once recovered, SALVAGE means the recovered truck is 1/2 price due to damage.
    (OFF gives special achievement on game start "certified used", Salvage gives unique achievement on game start "thrifty" if repair costs set to ON another unique achievement "tinkerer")
    *on/off: additional crane stability. Off is default. On anchors the truck to the ground to eliminate tipover of crane. Does not make cranes stronger, lift limits remain normal. (ON disables achievents related to using a crane)
    *on/off all winches work offline/are battery powered. Off is vanilla, on makes all winches work on battery. (on disables achievements related to winching)
    *on/off trucks can pull ball-hitch scout trailers.
    *on/off scouts can pull pintle-hitch truck trailers.
    *on/off cargo breaks loose after rollover. (on is vanilla, off prevents cargo from breaking lose after rollover) (off disables achievements related to cargo)
    *on/off all tire styles available for all vehicles. (within size limits for that vehicle) also adding wheel offset option of 2", 4" & 6".
    *on/off all add-ons on all trucks (within size constraints)
    *Detailed engine info on/off option of vanilla (letter ranking of power to weight ratio) or power listing in Horsepower/Kilowatt and torque listing in Foot-pound/Newton-meter.(no need to have an option for metric or not, just show both always with the / between the two.
    I can't think of anything else. lol.
    Oh and not an option thing... Just... Heavy duty bumpers should prevent engine damage when I hit a tree at 5mph.
    And impacts that stop the truck instantly, such as hitting a large tree or rock, should damage the transmission more than the engine.

    Why do Semitrailers detach from parked trucks if you left the truck for a longer period of time?
    it would be even better instead of having more save files to just let us set up our own custom campaigns by combining multiple season maps and mod maps into one very huge campaign

    Important thought regarding Phase 6: The pathway to the cabin assembly site in Maine is blocked off from BOTH sides, and thus require you to either drive around, or use mods to climb over them to reach the areas to where you can unblock the passages.
    Another thing; passages that cannot be unblocked nor repaired. Like WTF? I get it that the game is meant to offer challenges, but some of it is just ridiculous.

      Yeah, I think the base game maps have better difficulty curve than DLC maps...they do need to rething those rediculas sections.

    The thing that I dislike the most it’s the gearbox, when you try to coast it downshifts to first it’s really annoying and I don’t understand how there’s a clutch but not a proper manual gearbox. Also I would like to be able to deactivate the auto reverse

    I think it makes perfect sense the power to weight ratios change depending on the addon and cargo because.... well obviously if you add weight the ratio actually changes, that's how ratios work. The rest absolutely right! Also the really big trucks are useless, the medium 6x6 and 8x8 trucks outperform them, the Derry trucks don't even have enough power to turn their wheels when loaded and going up a slight slope. Winching trucks together was also far better in previous games, could select pull (pull winch cable in) or tow (button to pull winch in instead applied full throttle instead of partial throttle to towed truck) and could select left, right, and auto steer.

      @@SD1ONE If you are saying you would rather just know the actual horsepower/torque output I completely AGREE! I don't understand why they make it vague, just list the spec (both power and weight) or at least the actual ratio (so you can tell how much more powerful one s+ truck is vs another s+ truck. Some trucks even have two s+ engine options with no way to tell which is more powerful, which is just annoying.

    Also the new bugs introduced with the update are annoying. In coop, you select the option to refuel from your roof rack but it won't refuel, but if someone else jumps in your truck they might be able to. Or the winch / crane no longer attaches until you change regions and back again (though that "fix" doesn't always work). If you try to refuel from a trailer, it will refuel your truck but will empty the entire fuel trailer / maintenance trailer. These are only a few off the top of my head that haven't been mentioned here. I really hope they're working towards fixes and QoL updates.

    Why is nobody mentioning the lack of engine brakes? That's a hallmark of trucking yet its not implemented in the game, would be very useful too especially with loads going downhill

    I agree. And I HOPE that when you made video about it now, the will notice and fix it.... 😐 Also, not only winch disappears when you turn off engine, its also BUGGY AS F! Just yesterday, I tried to howl 16 rolled metal with the 2x 8 size semi-trailers with 2x Pacific P16 in Wisconsin( I know, I am delayed a lot, but I didnt had time ok? 😅), anyway, when I drove from rhe garage, and then like 100 meters, I COULD winch them TOGETHER , but when I split up, loaded cargo and then tried it again, I saw the winch points, BUT SUDDENLY IT CANT BE WINCHED TOGETHER! 🤬. So if it wont work again , I will have to drive them SEPARATE, means 2X THE SAME JOURNEY! 😡 It really triggers me. Also, those fk n rocks on the road, they are small, but OFCOURSE, the do TON of DMG when fast driving. Its complete BS 😠.

    My main nitpicks are:
    1. Really poor friction physics for highways. It makes driving above 3rd gear like skating on ice.
    2. "Lazy" optimisation of truck addons. The copy+paste of most bed types looks silly on many trucks because the dimensions don't match the truck. I know it would lead to a lot more files, but it would be good if every truck had optimised addons, even if that means that some trucks carry less cargo.
    3. Poor use of frame space, especially on long trucks like the P12 and the 5600TS. Some addon combinations result in huge sections of frame being unused.
    4. Unnecessary number of large rocks on every road. I finally found a mod to remove them and it is amazing.

      well, it's a good thing that this game and devs are mod friendly...unlike some other companies like EA or Take 2 which don't want to fix or remaster games themself and sending DCMA takedowns to modders.

    Now first, I haven't play new P5 Don DLC, I am talking about P0-P4, so something may be different now.
    And many of thing in this video are about balance, which I hate.
    1 CBT combo, lazy devs, they supposed to have tested all possible truck then decide which can which can't. And probably some balance. AZOV 73210 is the only Russian truck that is capable of CBT.
    2 Mudtires, okay for me, because my scout fleet is F750 and Loadstar 1700. but I think rims should have some difference, or their own design.
    3 Probably lzay devs, don't want to design new icon for more levels.
    4 No trailer, probably balance. Trailer-less vehicles usually have great capability, if they are trailer capable, other vehicles gonna be more or less point less.
    5 Incomplete codex, lazy devs.
    6 Different cargo crafting, I don't know, maybe balance? Not quite problem for me, but what annoying me is actually another incomplete codex. They only tell you which crafting zone produce what, but don't tell you how many what produce how many what, I have to have Maprunner on hand to inquire any time.
    7 Vague vehicle stats, maybe they want to make the game more casual? But actually sometime just 0.1 can really make difference, this is actually hard core game. I guess most long-time real players are actually serious offroaders, they don't afraid of complex stats. But devs want money, more purchasing is their goal.
    8 Size to complicity mismatch, pure balance.
    9 Limited map mods at a time. I think it's wrong "multi saving" function. When devs talked about "multi saving", I guess 99% of players are expecting to have a list to save different game status of same game. For example, I've load up my truck, I want to take a river crossing short cut, but I am not sure if I can make it. So I make a save, if I screwed up in the river, I can read the saving back. This is more like multi career, or multi game, and yeah, 4 slots is not enough for many map lovers.
    10 Regarding vehicle damage, I think it's okay to damage rear engine from front, because when collision happened, sudden stop can cause huge impact via transmission system all the way to engine. But when saying this, transmission should take damage too. But probably the only way to damage transmission is activating difflock on hard surface. However in real life, difflock is a device in differential case of driving axle, not transmission. And only when sharp turn on dry hard surface can damage difflock.
    11 No fuel from add-ons, probably lazy devs. And no repaire from trailer or addons.
    12 Medium log trailer, probably balance.
    13 Cargo management, lazy devs probably. Rail section, with sideboard semi and carefully driving, I transported all required rails in Wisconsin. Can't unload winched truck, is probably disable the possibility that in time rush tasks, they put a preloaded truck at destination, then drive a fast light vehicle from start point, when approaching the destination, fast winch the preloaded truck then unload, to make impossible fast time.
    14 Winch cable vanishes, I don't know how to say it, I hate it.

    There are even more problems.
    15 TUZ 420 is an amphibious vehicle, so you know what I mean.
    16 WS6900TS's front end can flow on water? Semi-amphibious?
    17 Chained tires, they supposed to have same or even better performance with mudtires in snow and mud. Because in real life, on some mountain roads, no matter what tire you are using or your vehicle is AWD or not, tire chains are must have. And tire chains also help on mud offroading, because chains provide similar tire patterns like mud tires. This probably also a balance, because if chained tires have same performance with mud tires on mud and snow, all other tires are useless. But I think they actually do it wrong on chained tires at the first place. Because tire chain is a kind of accessory for tires, not a tire type. And in real life, running with tire chain on asphalt road surface damage both tires and road, so if there is no snow or ice on road, tire chain is prohibited. Drivers always carry tire chains in their vehicle, and put them on when needed or required. And these mountain road always have specified area for tire chains on and off. So in game, tire chains should be in the "V" manual, not a tire type.

    Many valid points here but the thing that bothers me most is the sound design. The motors sounds are mostly bad loops, every time I hit the gas with my pedals, it plays the same revving sound, all over again. All in all I find the motor sounds bad and not fitting, wich is sad since the other factors of simulation are getting better and better.

    It would be nice if we can repair trucks like in mechanicSimulator game, i mean part by part. Including this improved damage simulation. Also what about "autowash magic" - maybe something like highpressure car wash tools instead? special carwash addone? And maybe we will use some handtools, like chainsaw, for cutting some trees and bush. Remote control gates. Special truck abilities , like heavy winch on the back of Longhorn 4520 e.t.c And please, PLEASE more comfortable log crane and log carrier. Thank you.

    Maybe „Oliver“ should pay more attention to obvious inconsequences like this instead of selling us a new „immersion“ mode as the invention of the history for us runners.
    A simple windshield wiping blade during rain has more immersion as Mr. Oliver provides us with the so called „immersion mode“

    When it comes to power to weight ratios, the more weight you add to a vehicle, whether it be heavy cargo or a heavy add on like a crane, the rating will go down. This is because the vehicles power doesn’t change, rather, the vehicles weight changes. Basically if you increase a vehicles weight but don’t increase the power of the truck the ratio/rating will go down. Power to weight is the basic measurement of how much power is needed to move “x” amount of kg/lbs.

    Just a question, dies the rank limit actually have any practical impact on the game. My biggest bug bear atm is tche co-op refuelling bug ( guests are not able to refuel at all unless the host is on the same map). Btw yor point about th power to waight ratio changing when you mount heavy adons, compared to the emptu truck frame, it makes sence that it does, since you carry more weight with the same engine and transmission. I think your issue here might be more alling the kines of needing power tonwaight to be a number (ie Xhp/ton) instead of an arbitrary rating

    I think fuel size mismatch is my biggest issue. The fuel cistern on the 5 axle western star only refuels just shy of 500 gallons, where the tanks on the truck is just shy of 100? I also have the refuel switching issue quite often. I'll be in my Paystar, get low on fuel, go to use my reserve and... It's not a source?

    The thing i hate the most is the bug when you carry long logs and you change map through the gateways and then the logs just come loose out of the trailer
