    Im finally putting a ton of focus into game dev and its so exciting. I know pretty much nothing but seeing videos like these really give me the inspiration to keep going.

    I like the direction you went with the art style, it looks a lot like the OG Fire Emblem games, I'll make sure to give this a try when it's launched!

    You mentioned in the comments that you used part of the budget for character art. What is the particular artist you commissioned? There is no information anywhere about it

      @@HyperKryst I was actually the first person to ever commission him way back lol. You can see some of the characters from my first game as his first comm.

    may i ask what things you spend money on during game development ?

    • @BTrainStudio
      @BTrainStudio  วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Sure, my budget was about a little under 10k usd. This was divided into 3 main categories.
      Writing/editing, character art, and music. All 3 were about 2k each roughly.
      There was about 1k for misc stuff like asset packs and quick help from people.

    First off congrats on releasing your game!
    I don't agree with tip#1. I did everything you can see in my progress videos. Still working on my own sound effects and music which were the skills I started with. It ended with me knowing how to do everything else, and I can safely say that is all me and it was all free. So I think TIP#1 should be is try learning new things.

      I think in the beginning, you should try out a bit of everything in gamedev. However, if you feel like you don't enjoy it then that's the time to outsource.
      So if you enjoy sfx work, keep at it. It also helps to know the basics so you can direct ppl who do know it.
