For the ones defending rossi for the 2015 sepang kick, which was so clear in the footage, remember that rossi was the guy who had problems with a lot of riders in MotoGP - Biaggi, Gibernau, Stoner, Lorenzo and Marquez - all of whom had mutual respect for each other in the respective eras that they raced. No one else who reached the top has had problems with that many people. But still valentino is defended for some of his actions because of a big number of blind fans in his fanbase.
He is a legend undoubtedly, but he definitely did his dirty deeds and played the innocent card on many occasions.
I do belive this is true. In one of the recent interview/podcast, Stoner specifically mentions that Rossi used to make enemies while involving himself in mind games and states that that is the exact reason why Rossi lost championship in 2015.

Isn't it weird how there was this one time in 2015 when the Honda couldn't out accelerate the Yamaha? Anyone who follows the sport knows that the Honda was more of a stop and go bike and the Yamaha used corner speed. There was just this one time where a guy kept putting his Honda in front of a Yamaha and yet he couldn't get the Honda to act like a Honda and drive out of the corner. If we completely ignore the bad blood, the championship implications, I think we can all acknowledge that that was an unusual occurrence and be curious as to what exactly was happening that day.

My favorite moment from Sepang was when Marc Marquez lollygagging around the circuit during qualifying to catch a tow off of a rookie rider. In his desperation to leach off of someone else's talent, he allowed his tires to cool off too much and he had the most hilarious high-side face-plants ever recorded.

Hello. I didn't know at all this episode, so I'm not biased: there is no kick. I watched very carefully in slow motion : the movement of Rossi's leg is occuring after Marquez's fall, perhaps because of a contact that made Rossi lost balance.
This said totally objectively, I was not in moto GP during this era.
