I kid, but maybe whoever designed the ceremonial dress did think up ways to help prolong the victim's life (or her suffering). Depend on your perspective and what you're willing to believe, I suppose
I love that the people that helped her get dressed gave her things that would help her. Elodie was stressingg me ouuutttt! Also red suits Millie so much!!!
Right! It's like they knew this was some BS and wanted to give her a fighting chance!
and fit it in so that they royal family wouldn't be suspicious - gave her a necklace that looked like an egg to symbolise "three were taken, three must be given" but could be opening so she could have light, gave her a crown to make her look like royalty but made it easy for her to hold rather than the bigger ones worn by the king and maybe the queen, the dagger that I guess symbolises both the sword the king used, and also looks like a swan they decorate statues for the dead with so that she could use it.
Makes me wonder - how does the royal family treat their people? I know they're always on about the good of the kingdom and say that the first kings duty to his people came first (do the current royal family know the truth or were they unknowingly passing down a lie that was told to them first) but do they actually care about their people or about the wealth and status and strength of the kingdom. Henry, maybe, he's not heartless he's just a coward and I'm guessing been bullied too much by his mother or had that sense of superiority pounded into his head by his mother (or both) and can't stand up to her or even warn others to get away. Non elf which excuses what he did (glad he had enough honour or sense of guilt not to run away at the end). His parents, I'm not so sure about.

🤣🤣🤣 ever since I was a baby. I can’t hide my emotions. They show up on my face as clear as a text message. 😩
Honestly, i almost want to say i feel worse for the dragon than i do Elodie. The dragon's three children were killed in cold blood seconds after they were hatched, killing her bloodline and bringing her species to pretty much extinction since shes the last of her kind. She wanted revenge, reasonably so, and made an ongoing deal to kill three daughters of the descendants of the people who betrayed her every generation. Id imagine she was doing her revenge and wasn't ever truly satisfied because nothing ever will truly ever fill the gap of her murdered children but getting her revenge somewhat satisfied her.
Then she finds out that her revenge was trick and a lie and that she wasnt ever actually taking her revenge out on the people who deserve it but three innocent daughters for years turning her into a huge hypocrite and leaving her with technically uncompleted revenge. Yes, she killed the entire city but that the doesnt change whats happened generations before Elodie. Elodie got her revenge on the people that betrayed her and as for her father, he laid his own bed. The dragon still yet again got the bad end of the stick.
I feel the same way! The poor dragon, she was the damsel that needed rescuing. They did her dirty! 😫
