God I would have loved to be a part of your crew 20 years ago when I was single and finished working on cruise ships as an entertainer.. The energy of happiness that is exuding from everyone, which you all are radiating in this video is off the chart. Simply awesome. This kinda thing is right up alley! Thank you!

A Great White encounter would be enough to make me consider not getting back in the water for a while. Great encounter, but they simply terrify me. Sometimes you see them and they disappear, sometimes not so much.

Wife wanted to go cage diving so I took her to South Afrika. We saw several sharks but the thing that got our attention was the 15ft female GW that took an interest in our cage. She got real close, bumping against a few times. We got to see those black eyes and those very sharp teeth. It was an exhilarating experience, one I would highly recommend. But you are very glad you are in the cage. Forgot to mention, but clarity of water wasn’t the greatest and you could make her out from a few yards or so because she was gently gliding through the water. Had she been attacking, you’d have been in her jaws before you even knew what was happening.

I'd hazard a guess that Great White was trying to figure out what your guys were. That push behavior in sharks is generally an investigative move. A "What is this?" type curiosity. Especially with the follow up close eyeball of you two. Fortunately it seems to have decided your weren't on the menu and moved off. Truly a rare experience.

Great video and adventure. We've been going to LHI almost annually for many years and have snorkelled around most parts of the island many times. Plenty of mantas, turtles, kingfish etc. but haven't spotted a great white yet. I have footage of my son at age 4 snorkelling about 30 feet above 6 Galapagos sharks which was very exciting for the little man. We're back in Jan and you've whetted our appetite! Take care and love your work. Cheers from Sydney - Dave

What a great set of dive adventures. I'm curious as a shark conservationist and biologist what was the length of the white shark you encountered?
I ask because of the bump.
Generally in clear waters with good visibility humans won't look like seals. Bumping or light strikes are often typical of "teenage" white sharks as some affectionately anthropomorph to describe white sharks in the 10 - 14 foot range.
They are often transitioning from an all fish diet to one of marine mammals, making for a curious testing phase in their feeding habits.
At that size they often bump or bite things to see what is and isn't viable. Buoys, pilings, boat decks, props, boards, etc. Hence my question.
Once again, awesome video! Nice to see you guys exploring and having fun.
    Cheers! 🇺🇲 🇩🇰

Spent a few weeks on Lord Howe Island as a dive master diving with Geoff Deacon (pro dive)....the guys a legend and one of the original aquanauts. I grew up watching the Taylors diving with great whites on TV and Geoff was with them. So a huge shout out to him. Anyway,we waited and waited for a break in the weather to dive the pyramid and it never came. We even got halfway there but got called back by the coastguard. So that day dived the Admiralty islands instead. This was 25yrs ago and I still remember all those incredible dives like it was yesterday. There's some big sharks around lord Howe for sure and Geoff had mentioned white sharks had been seen feeding on a sperm whale carcass near the pyramid before we'd arrived. I just remember little whaler sharks used to show up and circle as soon as you were in the water.
This film brought back lots of happy memories...what a place!

It remind me few years ago sailing in the north atlantic something hit my boat it was around 3am. So i stayed awake the rest of the night thinking it was a piece of wood or whatever junk ready for any kind of emergency. At 7am i was ready to dive to inspect if there was any damages
I was in the water for less than 5sec when suddenly i saw a great white at maybe 10ft from me face to face with this huge beast i dont know how i jumped out of the water to the safety of the boat (i still dont know how to this day) but i am sure the shark was surprised as i was because how i jumped back on board sea lion style😂😂 the magnificent animal stayed around my boat for 4 hours using its tale to hit my vessel time to time tgen hit it one last time around 11am and disapeared
A ones in a life time encounter
