Please, please viewers, take a close look at some videos of the Masters, like PdL, playing Alzapua ( AL tha pu A ) & see how short their thumbnail is ~ the contact, by skin & nail simultaneously, on the strings is a huge component of the authentic fLamenco sound.... You guys will, 99.99% of you, find Alzapua 99.99% easier if you use a short thumbnail.... Those that want to deepen their Art won't just take my words for this, they'll research, study & practice!
Keep Playing & working at it Guys.... It's an extremely high level technique that's demanded for good fLamenco playing, of, but the payoff is HUGE! Big Love 🎶

Check please tutorials about alzapua explaining mechanics of Your wrist (it is about saving Your Time on movements - one movement of wrist down making two strokes A single Note and two or three strings making the rest). I recommend atrafana video tutorials, I have learned a lot from that👍👍👍

I'm learning so much about how to play the music I've been listening to and trying to fathom out all my life.
Excellent at explaining it out given I have never studied musical theory.
Kai's classes have given me a whole lot to build on.

Almost all of it is notated, though I make a point of not notating certain things (compas patterns, mostly) when I believe that reading is counterproductive to really learning.

Matko Hi Matko, how ‘s it going? You know I’ve heard from a reliable source that flamenco guitarists back before the nylon era would tune down 1/2 step, and then place the cejilla on the first fret to match E or mi, but I have yet to have had that claim confirmed-sounds interesting though.

I'm sorry, but for me the technical tricks show is too fast. You interpret a lot and you show short and fast. You can't learn these tricks from these movies. In my opinion, you need to improve the methodology of transferring the game technique.Do not forget that it is easy for you and very difficult for us for students.
