I have twinwall 6mm , a greenhouse roof installed some 30 years in service, with significant reduction in transmissivity and sun damage I wish to restore. Is there an effective way to clean it ?

Hi there, there won't be any effective way to restore that. At 30 years it's at its end of life and the polycarbonate will be breaking down from the UV. You will need to replace it. Thanks, Kurt.

I just want to know the noise level in the heavy rain, during the night... please share that.

Hi there, it's not much louder than on a Coloursteel roof. We have some right outside our bedroom window and the noise doesn't bother us as night. Thanks, Kurt.

I can't reach most of mine by hand (too large). Could I use a pressure washer on its lightest setting?

We have a similar roof but fairly large like 400sft. Is it okay to get onto the roof? We have windows of second floor that needs stepping on to the roof to clean them. Also looking for recommendations on transluscent roofs which are stronger. Many roofers are not willing to step on to it 🙄

Hi there. You generally can't walk on the roof as the polycarbonate is too flexible. But you can put a walk board or even a sheet of thick plywood on top, making sure it's resting over the screws/purlins. You can put a cloth sheet down first to stop the board scratching it. Hope that helps! There's really no translucent roof that you can walk on, but the flat acrylic or polycarbonate may be easier to put walk boards on.

How would you suggest i could reach to the very back of the piece of laserlight closest to the roof itself? My area to wash is probably twice as deep as yours shown. I would appreciate any ideas... many thanks.

Hi there, you've got a couple of options. You can use an extendable mop with microfiber cloth or similar (no bristles). Or you can put a drop cloth down, then a walk board / plank that is at least 2-3m long, resting on the purlins, and carefully walk on that. Hope that helps! Kurt.

Hi there! thanks for the video . I have a question for you. I have a porch with an white opaque corrugated polycarbonate roof and from inside it is dirty. I am not sure wehther the roof suppose to be painted or just clean it the way you did. Like I said it is the inside of the roof. Thanks for your response.

Hi there, thanks for your question. You won't need to paint it. There are a few reasons it may be dirty on the underside. If there's cooking, machinery, any activity that it dusty or messy happening underneath it, some of this will collect on the surface of the sheets. Or if the sheets get condensation on the underside regularly, you can get dust sticking to this. Either way, you should be able to use warm soapy water to clean it off. Thanks, Kurt.

So basically you had to re-clean the wet and forget area to remove the sediment sort of makes it a bit of a waste of time doesn't it lol

Yep that's a fair comment! I'd me more inclined to stick to the soft sponge. The 30 Seconds is more likely better as a preventative treatment, some people have told me they spray it once every 6 months and it keeps it pretty good. You need to get it before it starts growing too much mould though, and you also need some decent rain to wash it off.

I've got a large covered deck with about 400sq ft of poly roof. The overlapping sections of poly are the toughest to clean and haven't found a solution for that. Wet everything down in advance to help too.

Thanks, good tip to wet everything down first. Yes those overlaps can be tricky.
