My 5 year old son says it goes super-speed, like our washing machine. :-D I think he was referring to the sound. I don't think the BMW engineers would appreciate the washing machine comparison though. :-)

I always say that the L4 has a beautiful character, since i'm a big fan of the 4 cyl family of bikes. I gotta say, though, that the 3 cyl (triumph) sounds better and the V4 (aprillia) is even better. But that BMW sounds just gorgeous.

Just a heads up - the cruise control is an option and not standard. The sport model which RJ was riding comes with rain,normal and dynamic riding modes with the option of an dealer plug to get dynamic pro. Unlike the KTM the rider aids can be switched off while riding.

RoyalJordanian Just past Marble Arch, we both turned into Bayswater Road, at around 13:45 today. Then stopped next you as you turned right further down...Was coming from BMW Park lane after having had a good look at the new 1200RT... I'll say "Hi" once I'm sitting on my Nuda... : )
RoyalJordanian For your info: having a bit of trouble fitting the original alarm onto the Nuda as the system the bike needs to be plugged in to programme the alarm has been switched off at the dealer I bought the bike. To my surprised the system is also switched off at all BMW dealers. Also, BMW will do the service work but no warranty work on the Nuda (what a surprise!). Luckily for us, Freestyle bikes in East Sussex still have the whole system operational and to top it off, carry out warranty work too! The Nuda will live...

RJ, which one of those 3 bikes(nuda, 1290 super duke, S1000R) is the best for filtering? Poor wind protection is something you can solve even with BMW Parts windscreen, it looks quite big.
The windshield for the BMW looks a little bit like the Alien Queen, i like it :-) I'm also interested in the difference between the BMW and the KTM. There aren't any Super Dukes left for test riding where I live :-(
The Nuda by far. I actually like no Wind protection. Hate screens that direct wind to the top of the helmet or any other part. Better to let the helmet aerodynamics take care of it.
I like riding naked bikes. I just hate stop riding them :-) Seriously, when riding with a windshield it is really nice that afterwards you can just take off your helmet and you and your jacket are more or less clean.
Really nice bike for sure and talk about silk shifting........but I must say it just didn't have that RoyalJordanian feel. Smooth? Yes but not the BOSS style of RJ in my opinion. Good test ride though sir. Ride safe

You succeeded not testing it up to max rpm's or his high speed, it should be hard with such a bike :D By the way RJ, i think you should try to move your camera fixation on the center of your helmet (just on the mouth position). The take is perfectly centered, you don't see the helmet and shows exactly what you are looking for ;)
Didn't the Brits used to drive on the left and overtake on the right? Here they seem to drive on the right or in the middle with the left lane completely empty.
Hello! Hope you're ok. Would like to have your opinion about the BMW S1000R. I have bought an Yamaha MT-07 for an year now and i'm thinking to change it for a new bike, really the choice is between the S1000R or S1000XR. The question is, would you consider a big step moving from an MT07 with 75bhp to the S1000R? The use is for daily commuting and short rides on the weekends, no track days, no crazy ridding with the bike. Hope to get your opinion. Thank you.
This is just my opinion, and it's really subjective as I just hate most of L4 engines sound, but if the BMW is your choice, your vids will not be as entertaining as they are at the moment with the Nuda. I'm not a big fan of the aesthetic of the Nuda, but yours has one hell of a sound, which I totally relate to you and your vids. With this inline 4, it would be like we lost a part of RJ's soul !

Sam, I changed my opinion. THe KTM is just an amazing machine, but for RJ and London, I think the Beamer is the one. Well, that is what I would go for with no hesitation. Amazing bike!!
