Truly your videos and book are the reason I am switching to +R! I was following a few other +R trainers before, trying to figure +R out, but they never explained the principles or what you could completely train with them; but then I found Connection Training and you helped connect the dots and teach me what I was missing. I have since then learned so much from your videos and book! I can't wait to join the CT Club in the future!
This was a great video. Thank you for your reply earlier. I was wondering if you could do you some thing for another video. As an instructor I like the idea of having students, especially kids and amateur riders, working of course a little bit with some very basic ground work before they mount for their lesson. I like the idea that it gives them A little bit more of a connection, a learning and training experience, an are you with me moments for the students to check if They can get their lesson horse to connect and listen to them, and to give the rider some warm up time to say to the horse that they are the one that’s going to be riding them for the next hour. Could you do you a video where you show some groundwork exercises that are basic and would work for beginners and lower level riders to do before they get on for their lesson??? Thanks again
That’s great. Thank you. I think it’s something I would’ve loved to learn when I was a teenager and going to lessons every Sunday morning. I think it’s something good to add to young children and beginner riders so they have some more tools to use and it’s just good training and makes for good or better riding as well as I think it helps the younger rider or the beginner rider to realize that there is more to just grooming, tacking up, mounting and writing the half hour to one hour lesson and then untacking and grooming and putting them away. I really can’t wait for this video. I think I’ve seen one instructor with a very young rider having her do some yielding the shoulders and yielding the hindquarters and a little bit of backing up as well as some little steps of leg yielding and shoulder for before she had the student get on the horse Or her our lesson. It was really nice to see an instructor doing some thing that added to the students education and teaching them that there is more to training and teaching mounted lessons then just grooming and tacking up and getting on the horse and walk trot Cantering.
Hello! I love your soft, relaxing way of working so much! I try to learn to be a good trainer and i try to get my pony to enjoy riding what she never did in her life before.. I wanted to ask what sidepull you are using? or do you have some more recommendations for those?
Thank you! This is what I'll be working on today. I've been working on moving the shoulders from the ground for a few weeks so we'll see how it goes from the saddle. I'm curious what bitless bridle you are using. I've been riding bitless for about 5 years with the cross under type. Thanks!
Great explanation! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you! So glad they're helpful and thank you so much for the comment :-)

Fantastic, hope it goes well! This is just a side-pull with the reins attached to each side of the noseband. Thanks :-)
