Coachella is a yearly music festival held in Indio, California, a desert valley. One of the founders of the Coachella Festival is a big BLINK, he flew to S. Korea to invite them personally in 2019, then again in 2023, but this time as headliners. The Coachella Festival runs for two weekends in April every year. In 2023 BLACKPINK performed both weekends on the largest stage, drawing crowds of 125,000, plus the concerts were Livestreamed on TH-cam.

Good reaction. I love this performance. However, many Blink's favorite live performance (including mine) is DDu Du DDu Du Encore Remix at the sold out 55,000 capacity Tokyo Dome. No fancy dresses, no real choreo, just them jamming on stage with their Rock band in the back, and the crowd going crazy (and yes, you can see the crowd). You will be shocked by how different it is to this performance.

This is normal, as there is almost always a choreography component to their performances, and in order to maintain the sound quality the group may sing over a vocal track. The issue may arise when the mix is bad and you hear too much of the track while they are trying to sing over it. BLACKPINK performs with a mix of handheld and headset mics. Handhelds provide the most control, while headset mics can be used during choreo when the hands are busy, although they provide less control as they are fixed at the same place near the singers' mouth. They are also notoriously finicky because they have a wire that runs from the earpiece, down the back of the singer into a mic pack. There have been multiple times when the headset mics needed adjustment during performances, or cut out, or need a battery swap (at their concerts they keep boxes of spare batteries on the front of the stage). BLACKPINK always travels with their "House Band", THE BAND SIX. THE BAND SIX is an American band that their company hired years ago. They started out playing for BIGBANG (a legendary K-Pop group), but became BLACKPINK's go-to live performance band.
