I Got Stuck In The Jobcenter Lift !!

- This Is The Lift In The Jobcenter Swindon What A Load Of Crap It Is it did not reach the ground floor and the inner doors lock and could not get out of it !

The reason I suspect why the door didn’t open fully even with the power off is because most modern lifts are now fitted with door restrictors, which are basically these interlocks that hold the doors closed unless the lift is within the door zone. It is meant to be a safety feature that is now fitted on lifts as a standard to prevent trapped passengers from escaping lifts that are stalled in between floors in case the lift suddenly started moving again while they are in between the car and the landing which can be dangerous if the lift starts moving at that point. Did the doors open when the lift stopped or did you open them yourself? It looks as though the cause of the trapping is something to do with the doors.

No we would of got inalot of trouble if we did that that was his pre roll rag from about a hour before we got stuck ahah we shoud only been in there for 10 mins max aha

You're luck, the fire service turning up. Now they are telling people in most places that they will not attend.

On a stuck elevator never get out at any way yourself it could move unexpected
It can not start moving when the door is open because the electric safety circuit is broken.
Only *very* rarely is safety actullay bypassed
