Having benn brought up in Colborne,I was sad that you felt it was not an intersting town. when i was growing up it was kinda boring,but there was sports and you made your own fun. I never thought we would ever see a Tim Hortons. we has an old arena that was good.The Industrial park has grown 1000% and that road had nothing but trees on it when i was a kid. there are several subdivisions and cul-de-sacs with new homes where only grass field once lay in sunlights! The post office has not changed. Since the 50's. we had no bowling ally,no movie theate, no dept store to speak off except small shops, but we knew we could always go to Brighton or Coubourg or Porthope to see a show or driveInn or shop at a mall. but I miss the quiet and simple friendly shopping of that great little community where I lived for 20 years.

I have not been to Colborne since the early 80s. We lived in Petawawa for 2 years and toured the area a lot. Great thing about moving every couple of years with the military is you get to see a variety of places. TTYL...

My family lived in the area from about 1800 to 1903 on a farm. I think I see why they left , thanks for the tour 👍👋

No but Cobourg Ontario has a nice beach, Brighton does as well as the County with the sandbanks
