2years down the road. I'm curious how this held up for your pigs? We're still in trial and error keeping our pigs contained with panels. Not sure if we need more posts along the panels or we're just not using strong enough connectors for t-post to panel.

It ended up working well for the piglets. We eventually started using electric polywire that I moved weekly so they got new ground. We have since changed to just using cattle/hog panels tied together. Last year we raised 2 American Guinea hogs in 5 cattle panels tied together with twine from hay bales. This worked for an entire year until one pig figured out how to lift the fencing and escape. 🙈 we got her back and they went into the freezer. This year I got actual hog panels tied together with the twine and am using a new LockJawz product that connects right to the panels. Now we just have a single hot wire at the bottom so that should keep them from lifting the fence one they’re grown (they’re only 9 weeks old right now).

How has the setup done with the pigs?

Well, if you have seen the following video, the setup didn’t work for piglets because we learned they can fit through the cattle panels. 🙈 But once we got some smaller wire around the cattle panels the setup worked well. We ended up switching to electric netting that we could move. There was a lot of learning happening and I hope to make a video to explain some things one day.

It doesn't work for my pigs, my pigs are strong and burrow,,, usually they pull out the poles

Why did you move away from the pallets as the walls?

The original plan was to use pallets lifted up over t-posts (2 posts per pallet) but with so many rocks we couldn’t get that many t-posts in the ground where we needed. So we switched to the cattle panels. Having learned many things the past year, I’d do so many things differently now. Now I know you can even make a circle out of a couple cattle panels and do that if need be. There’s just so many options. ❤️

Looking good. I'm just searching for ideas for building my pig shelter and came across your channel. :)

Great. I hope you got some help from this video. Wish I had more to share. 🙈 Hopefully I can get some more done one day. We learned so much.
