    CORRECTIONS:
    - The deadline of 31 May at 7:25 is for NUS College scholarships. For NUS College and other RCs, you have to apply from NUS undergraduate course application, where there is an option on whether you want to enter it or not. Thank you GodofPlatinum for pointing it out!
    - Since posting, the registration deadline for the RVRC Programme for incoming freshmen as seen at 7:15 has been extended yet again to 17 May 2022 (12PM SGT).

    Hey, first of all, thank you so much providing the information! I'm going to start my exchange program in NUS in January 2023, and I was wondering if these residences are mixed or single-gender. I do not know where to find this info, thank you beforehand!

    • @ItsukaiCh.
      @ItsukaiCh.  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The rooms are all single-gender, but the residences will be mixed. Halls have single-gender floors, while residential colleges do have a few mixed-gender floors. I have no confirmation on student residences or houses.
      For more inquiries on the specifics, you would have to approach the residences' management offices.
      Hope this helps you out!

    Hi there, for exchange students, what do you think is easier to secure? RC or other residences?

  • @chiragjethalia6632
    @chiragjethalia6632 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hey in the halls of residence are there dining halls which provide breakfast, lunch and dinner or how does it work do we have to cook?

    • @chiragjethalia6632
      @chiragjethalia6632 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also as an international student, are they accepted in halls of residence?

    • @ItsukaiCh.
      @ItsukaiCh.  ปีที่แล้ว

      breakfast and dinners provided for weekdays, breakfast on saturday (can't really remember if they do serve that), and dinner on sundays. This is for all hostels except PGPR, UTR and houses (formerly part of PGPR).
      International students can apply for any residence, same as everyone else.

    Hey, the rate for Single Type-A AC Rooms at PGPR is $337 weekly as per NUS site. I'm admitted to a 1-year course. Does that mean it'd be ~$18000 for my stay? Because this video is a year old and you said it'd be close to $8300 for a year. I'm confused, please help!

      Hi, also freshman hoping to apply for PGPR this year, just would like to provide my insight.
      according to the hostel rates pdf for PGPR, one week at Single Type A-AC rooms costs roughly $225, hence not sure where u derived $337 from. Another thing is do not count your expense as a year ie. 52 weeks. Sem 1 - 18 weeks, Sem 2 - 17 weeks. So that is roughly $225 * 18 + $225 * 17 for a year. Note that before winter and summer break starts, you are to check out from your room, hence thats like 4months *4 weeks = 16 weeks less of expenses you wont have to pay

    Ok, I have a weird question. Can i take my ps5 to university hostel single room or gaming console is prohibited?

    • @ItsukaiCh.
      @ItsukaiCh.  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've read the housing agreement and the rules and regulations from all the dorms. From what I could gather, it's perfectly fine.
      The main concerns are fire hazards and high electricity consumption, which prohibits portable ACs and mini-fridges unless approved and their bills are paid for.
      Gaming consoles are not listed anywhere as electrical appliances with high power consumption, and ONLY Temasek Hall states that they can disallow electrical appliances consuming over 1500W, which any gaming console or even gaming PCs are well under.
      Just don't be too loud when playing games lest you disturb others while they might be studying / resting.

    Hii is there any dorm with attached toilet (your own private toilet)?

    • @ItsukaiCh.
      @ItsukaiCh.  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There are some that do come with ensuite bathrooms, but that is a rarity. Most of the time, it will be communal, being shared with a few nearby rooms or across the entire level.
