Excellent video on different Bifocal lenses and I enjoyed viewing it. I'm new to bifocals and just ordered a pair to see if it will help me in watching TV and using the Laptop together (distance and intermediate). At the moment I have computer glasses (intermediate )for proper viewing of lap top and just tilt my head down to see over the top of my glasses to see the TV, basically a huge bifocal.
Thank you for this overview. I had no idea how many choices there were. I just got progressive lenses and I am struggling with peripheral distortion and depth perception. It feels like so much of the available lens space is wasted. I’m considering switching to bi-focals or just sticking with switching glasses on and off as I have been doing. It would be nice to not have to switch glasses, but I don’t like things going in and out of focus all the time. Thanks again!

I have just seen this descriptive video about bifocals, it appears that progressive lenses are far better than bifocals, since intermediate distance i. e 2 to 3 ft is not visible through bifocal lenses, why not go for progressives ?
Hi Agree with you but everything comes with there own advantage and disadvantage Like bifocal has disadvantage of intermediate Similarly your progressive has distortion at periphery Also progressive is twice costly compared to bifocal
