- Condemned stands, big tackles, goals, players fixing the net. This is the Scottish Cup at it's finest! Albion Rovers v Auchinleck Talbot at Cliftonhill stadium in Coatbridge.

seats in the main stand came from cathkin park, home of third lanark
The dugouts which we recently installed are from Airdrie and the floodlights contain many parts from Cardiff Arms Park. Rumour is that our original floodlights also came from Cathkin as well as our boardroom table. Turnstiles allegedly from Brockville and Muirton Park. We are the original recyclers!

Love your vids Sam, was at the Troon game today against benburb, 91st minute equaliser from 2-1 to 2-2 and then an absolute SCREAMER from over 35 yards to win the game 3-2 in the wos premier, also, how do you see the league tables, is there a certain app? Great win for Auchinleck Talbot. I am from England but after visiting the ground whilst on holiday in September and getting a Talbot scarf, they are the team i follow in Scotland.

Watched all the games from that stand in the early 80s. Remember it being packed for a game against Dunfermline.

we have an Albion rovers in melbourne with quite a complicated history, incorperating scottish and turkish migrants
There is also one in Wales and the Republic of Ireland.
Bernie Slavin in the 80's was transfered from Albion Rovers to Middlesbrough i was at Cove v Arbroath the game was on Alba

Weird fact; the most postponed game in Scottish Football was 1979. Inverness Thistle v Falkirk. 29 times called off due to ice in 1979. I was there eventually with my Dad, at Kingsmills Park, for the game.
I have been to Cliftonhill it’s a proper, old school stadium.
An amazing place. Effectively a two sided ground. Such a shame they can't use the other side as one of Scotland's historic terraces. These are your best video's Sam. Btw there is an amazing book on Third Lanark which shows that ground in many different stages. I did not realise that the seats at Albion Rovers were from Cathkin Park.
I also love these auld style footy grounds, youve already done the one i grew up with (camelon juniors) those terraced style grounds need protecting

Very much agree with your sentiment about watching lower league teams on historic grounds than teams in overblown stadiums where the game doesn’t matter as much.

Was at the raith rovers game today vs falkirk and raith rovers bagged in a 11th minute penalty top corner to win the game

Yeah now in lower league but for my teenage years they consistently finished bottom of 2nd division. So pyramid makes sense.
They won the bottom tier title as recently as 2015 and held their own in the third tier the next season. There needs to be a clearer path back for clubs that drop down. Easier in the Highland League for Brechin as the standard is much poorer.
Albion Rovers are also 130 years older than sevco 😂

Cliftonville, the last time I was there I was watching speedway. That was sometime in the 70s.

Was at Dundee North End v Tranent today. North End's first ever Scottish cup tie, and they run out 4 nil winners. Absolutely ruined Tranent from the Lowland League. You should make your way to their next tie Sam. Could be a Dundee Derby against Lochee United. Draw tomorrow.
It was North End's second game in the Scottish Cup, they won at Tayport in the last round.

Funny how localised the weather can be in Scotland. I wasn't too far away watching another former SPFL side, East Stirlingshire v Lochee United at the Falkirk Stadium, and it was lovely sunny weather all game in Falkirk. Not even that far from Coatbridge!
Good game too, finished 3-2 to Lochee United.
It doesn't seem like a pyramid system, more like a long pipe system.

Rovers could have a record low crowd on Tuesday night at home to Civil Service Strollers, competing with Dortmund v Celtic on TV. Why this wasn't moved to the Wednesday I can't understand. There are matches split between the two nights in the LL. They don't help themselves and I'm not getting at Rovers but the people running the league.
It wont be a record low and CSS will bring no fans and Rovers fans aren't staying away for that - our players train on Tuesdays and Thursdays so a Wednesday match would upset things.
