- In today's video, I'm going to be playing "Unofficial Streetview World", which contains every single country in the world. The twist is that I will be playing just 10 seconds per round, which is a very short time for such a difficult map.

This is the first time that my home town Akureyri, Iceland has come up on Geoguessr, either for myself or in some video that i have seen. Excluding Iceland specific maps of course. I drove that street an hour ago.

I was born and raised in Leeds and now live in Huddersfield, you were actually in Bradford on that round, but the point still stands. I work for a company that operates multiple stone quarries in this region, and I think the access to Gritstone (from the west), Sandstone and Limestone in this more central area are what's given the architecture a quite mixed appearance.
Really glad you're enjoying this map! Shout out to Matepotato for giving me advice on how to maintain it in a more timely manner, and also to Kodiak for sharing his locations that fit this map's stringent demands. I have a week and a half off for Xmas/New Year's so I'll try and add in another hundred or more locations
Bosnia does use Cyrillic sometimes (especially where the population is more Serbs) for future reference :)

I really like this map, and I'd love to see you take your time with it. The 10 second timer is kind of stressful and we don't really see that much of the countries :)

Incredible how good you are on that map. I think a lot of very good Geoguessr players would still struggle on that map because they are so used to only seeing official coverage.

I live in Spain and I just realised that the beer brands would be quite a useful meta for region-guessing: Mahou in Madrid, Cruzcampo in Andalucía, Ambar in Aragón, Estrella Damm in Barcelona, Estrella Galicia in the north, etc…
I don’t know if it’s a commonly used meta, and obviously different beer brands can be found in different places, but for example in the first round of the first game I instantly knew that you were in Zaragoza or Teruel because of the Ambar sign
Leeds has confusing architecture because long time ago Britain’s PM Jim Hacker ordered the exchange of urban plans between major counties. It was Humphrey Appleby’s idea though.

2:08 well the location is jammu and kashmir which is currently a location of conflict with both India and pakistan fighting over which one gets it, while ( I think ) the govt present there is trying to make themselves their own country.

Very surprised you guessed Scotland for that Wales round - when there were two languages on all the road markings (English and Welsh). I don't think Scotland has any language other than English on its road signs!

I feel like there's a big difference between real life meta (signs, chevrons, poles) and camera/car meta, though
i think that only camera/car meta actually should be called meta, while real life elements could have another name like hints, idk..

That round was in the very eastern part of Gilgit-Baltistan, very close to the LOC, which is officially a part of Pakistan.
Just wait - geoguessr 2069 is gonna be every country but 70% of them have shit cam, including half the countries that are already covered with better cameras

most interesting map. not really interesting to me when geoguessr is missing such a huge population of the world and that so many other maps favor Western oriented countries. i can't imagine a future of geoguessr that doesn't cover 99% of the world population. they should really invest in their own footage to cover the whole world especially if they want the game to grow. likeeee what can the best geoguessr player say they are the best at? guessing the location of all the countries except 100 of them? 80ish countries? v disrespectful honestly to the players and doesn't sound significant when you think of it like that
