A video I’d love to see you make when it comes out, is a ranking of the songs in Funkin’ At Freddy’s. That mod has always been one of my personal favorites since the day V1 came out, and while V1 is still quite outdated, I’d say it aged WAY better than Mario’s Madness V1, for example.

I have to disagree about Demise and it's Underground bit. The sudden shift of MX's vocals to a new set just gives a more intense and crazy feel to him. And it's what made Demise one of my favorites. The old version actually sounds bad to me as well. It just doesn't meld well. The current version meanwhile sounds like he's channeling the screams of his victims with his singing. And that makes it better to me.
It sounds like nails on a chalkboard. Story telling should never go over how the music sounds. Plus without the music there is no intensity. The old version is worse overall but the underground section is better in the old. It actually gives off an intense feeling way better than the new version. The new version sounds utterly ridiculous. It’s not intense at all. It’s not catchy. It’s not even fitting because BF sounds normal and good while MX just sounds straight up bad since his chromatic isn’t even tuned properly which is the least they could have done. It just throws off the tone completely and the transition makes it feel even rougher given how it just goes from that straight back into instant spam notes. Demise overall is a decent but flawed song. If the underground part didn’t sound like something from Dave and Bambi maybe I would actually like it. 😒

Race Traitors v2 is awkward for me because while the v2 vocals are SIGNIFICANTLY better on the ears, the original had this badshit manic energy that suited Racist Mario, the v2 vocals just don’t have that, leaving the song feeling kinda empty in my opinion. Oh yeah, and I prefer the old instrumental to Apparition. It was pretty much a fan made Mario 64 song. If you slipped it into a Mario 64 Rom hack as a boss theme I don’t think a whole lot of people would realize it’s from FNF. The V2 Instrumental just kinda feels more generic to me.
As someone who has listened to Mario 64 music a lot while editing old videos…no. The Old Apparition doesn’t fit that style at all. The charm is practically non existent. The only thing I, and many others think of, when listening to that instrumental is a cliche Halloween haunted house song. And given Mario 64 actually HAS a haunted mansion theme, that feels even less true since the 2 songs are very different. As for your opinion or Race Traitors I can sorta see what you mean but I still heavily disagree. The instrumental feels more frantic with all the Mario Kart sounds being used and the vocals do still sound like he’s screaming in road rage. So I disagree but I can sorta see where you are coming from on that point. Also V2 of Apparition slaps on its own which is better than sounding like a boring old haunted house theme. Especially given how this is a rythm game so the music should be more of a bop.

The instrumental feels more frantic with all the Mario Kart sounds being used and the vocals do still sound like he’s screaming in road rage. So I disagree but I can sorta see where you are coming from on that point.
Also V2 of Apparition slaps on its own which is better than sounding like a boring old haunted house theme. Especially given how this is a rythm game so the music should be more of a bop.

V1 Of apparition was better as it had the SM64 soundfont
