I am not too sure who may have caught on, but this video is inspired quite a bit by a book. The Inheritance Games, by Jennifer Lynn Barnes is a book I have read recently and I thought it would be quite interesting to alter it slightly and make it an audio! So, please check out the book if you ever feel like it.

Me: Well, seeing the photo of him from the war, it looks like he and my grandfather served together. My grandpa was the salt of the earth. If he was your friend, you were friends for life. Could be your grandpa wanted his old friend's only grandson to have a bit more inheritance than a name. Of course, could be they hated each other, and your grandpa just put the world's biggest "kick me" sign on my ass.

Hm, I have a feeling that Listener and Tobias know each other, perhaps in a mentorship kind of way since he left him with most of the money and made sure the will wouldn't be read without him. The way the car guy said Listener reminded him of Tobias in personality has me wondering.,,I am hooked on this story, I can't wait to see if it's continued!
Man totally just wanted to scr3w over all his spoiled and hated relatives, and picked some random person to inherit everything.
The only time I've seen a bigger f u was in House of the Scorpion, where he left everyone a bunch of vintage wine along with his will, and conveniently left out that he had poisoned it all...

Me: (overhears talk that I might possibly be related to the Hawthorne family) 😏 [I highly doubt it.]
Me: 😐 Ok. I've heard the reading of the will. I've fulfilled my obligations. (places notarized document on table in front of Executor of the Will) I suggest you read that.
Executor: 😐 (reads document I provided, mouth dropping open in shock) 😐😦😨 W-wha-what??
Me: 😏😐 It's notarized. It's on record as having been signed by me in the presence of witnesses.
Executor: 😨 (stunned)
Me: 😐 In the presence of the Estate Executor and the Hawthorne family, I declare that, to the best of my knowledge, I have had no contact or communication with Tobias Hawthorne. I declare I have no relation to Tobias Hawthorne, and no relation to the Hawthorne family, and refuse to consent to a DNA test. I therefore challenge the authenticity of this will, and hereby decline, refuse, and waive any and all awards, benefits, entitlements, privileges, rights, and responsibilities allegedly granted to me by the alleged author of this will.
Everyone: 😱 (stunned)

I think this marks the first Listener-San who is *really* different from me. Smart in a tactical sense but able to play dumb, enticed enough by the scent of money to hop on a stranger’s private jet, good bluffer, and most common among them… a near-supernatural ability to keep quiet in the face of “WHAT THE HECK IS THIS?!” situations. Oh and there’s the fact he mentioned that there’s probably mostly alcoholic refreshments in the plane instead of just going “lemonade please” without thinking about any lesser options.
Well at least we are both heavy sleepers and I’d like to think that we both have a good ability to read people. Same with our genre savviness. 🤔
Also does this independent invention of Knives Out really take place in Texas? If so then you two are monsters for trying to add to my backlog with the “Texan Pride” card. 🤣
Also a fun fact about me and alcohol is that because it’s legal (on my state) to have people below drinking age be given a sip by a legal guardian my parents sometimes offer me a taste of their wine… which I invariably refuse. Not even out of a sense of danger but just because of how “this does not smell like it’d taste good” which is a part of why they mention it 😆

Why does this premise remind me of the ‘knives out’ movie?
I see there few minuses: 1.I prefer tall girls, much taller than the main character. If she is not tall, no, thanks. 2. I prefer giantesses. If she is not a beautiful giantess, no, thanks. I am not into microscopic lilliput girls. You must be massive, tall and charming girl higher that 2 meters and 15 centimeters without any heels. If you are not, you are pygmy girl from the circus for me.
