The first time I ever heard this I wasn't even sure if it was Joe . As he sung in a deeper voice . It really threw me off . Very underrated song . Love it . ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊 10/9/2024
Great album. Amazing song. Could Joe Elliott's look smoulder any more in this video? Seeing them next week! Doing the "meet and greet", too. These guys have been my favourites since I first saw them on MTV in the early '80's.They just get better with time!
This video was done by Nigel Dick, the same guy who did the Rocket video for them in 1989 and he also did their Slang video. You can always tell a Nigel Dick video by his use of TV screens, he did the Welcome to the Jungle video for GNR
It's better than turning out like Bon Jovi's most recent music. I think Def Leppard along with Motley Crue and Slash has made a good transition to the present.
It was a very personal album for me because I was going through relationship issues and these songs hit the spot especially this one, Smile by Pearl Jam, and Wonderwall
I watched this song for the first time in 1996 when I was young man. Still hearing this song like fuel in 2018. Years gone song still pure gold. #fromIndia
I remember I was about 10 years old when this album came out and I was thinking "look at these old men". Now I'm like.. They were in their 30's!? Love the song, anyway.
Even though I didn't know this song until the 2000's, the sound and feel of this song really takes me back to the 90's. ^_^ It's also one of my favorite songs and videos by Def Leppard. :)
Woah, i could never imagine Def Leppard with an alternative, droney shoegaze sound. Reminds me of My Bloody Valentine. Oh well. "Hair-ternative" at its best!
Really love this tune (I’ve recently purchase this album again in its deluxe edition) but each time I hear this song I can’t help hearing it as a crossover between Seal (Crazy) and the Gilmour sound of a Momentary Lapse of Reason! Yet, at the end, that’s a nice mix! 😄
one of my favs from this album. But from what i read when they did this cd with the change in sound fans didnt really like it then. but grow to like the cd now.
This was a completely different sound from Joe and good timing on that. That said, this is absolutely one of my favourite songs of theirs along with Blood Run Cold (that one gets the hair on my neck at attention) the independent guy that did the video for BRC was genius, I thought it was Viv in the video but it's not. Those two songs stick with me and Promises. Mind you, I love so many I have all of their music from the EP on...so a favourite top 10 would be hard for me...ENJOY!!
I love the thickness of Joe's voice in this one.....Speaking of voices, Joe has said he'd love to be guest voice on the Simpson's, Let's Let Fox know We Feel The Same!.......Diana in Greencastle
this kind of music should and must be the one which has the right to be shown or played in the airways not the commercialized beaver kind which should be censored.
I thought this was done in 95. I watched the DVD Rock of Ages and they did the Slang vid the next day in the studio next door. Maybe I misunderstood. Oh darn I will just have to watch that DVD again. I am REALLY going to HATE TO DO THAT! LOL
@TheBeatlefloyd I'm so sorry to hear that. I had similar luck for the past 4 years. But this year I finally got to go. They'll be back in two years. You'll get another chance. I got my fingers crossed for you. : )
Slang was a very underrated album. I dont know why it got so much hate. This song is a gem and needs more praise
The first time I ever heard this I wasn't even sure if it was Joe . As he sung in a deeper voice . It really threw me off . Very underrated song . Love it . ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊 10/9/2024
thanks Vivian Campbell for this tune!
I'm 41 in 2023 and still one of my favorites ❤ absolutely love def Leppard
I like the fact that he is using his deeper voice on this!
As a fan since 1983, I agree. I thought he sounded great and wished he'd done it more
This is the only song i have ever heard Joe Elliott sing deep on.
yea I don't care for their high pitched songs only this one I like
Yes he's using He that sexy voice this love song ❤
Joe using his relaxed voice here what a change! Reminds me so much of Collective Soul
Good call. Two of my favorite bands for decades. Never saw (heard) it that way.
He actually did the same thing on the song Hysteria. The background vocals were high but the lead vocals were lower.
Great album. Amazing song. Could Joe Elliott's look smoulder any more in this video? Seeing them next week! Doing the "meet and greet", too. These guys have been my favourites since I first saw them on MTV in the early '80's.They just get better with time!
This cut from Slang quickly became one of my all time favorite Lep songs.
Joe looks extremely GOOD in this video - and sounds AWESOME, of course!
In there prime 😋
Underated album
This is one of the strongest songs on this album
Bloody good song. Its such an hidden gem. Thanks for writing this Vivian Campbell.
Incredible song! Def Leppard should play at least 2 songs from the Slang era during their world tours.
Amazing tune, Vivian Campbell is a legend
Props to whoever filmed this aswell 😮
This video was done by Nigel Dick, the same guy who did the Rocket video for them in 1989 and he also did their Slang video. You can always tell a Nigel Dick video by his use of TV screens, he did the Welcome to the Jungle video for GNR
22 years later I still love this tune!
Amazing song, amazing album, still sounding new after 16 years.
My absolute favorite band. If You have ever heard Phil sing he sounds just like Joe. I have a single where Phil is singing Two Steps Behind.
One of the best bands ever
Just discovered this while listening to a hair band station. Great song!
It's better than turning out like Bon Jovi's most recent music. I think Def Leppard along with Motley Crue and Slash has made a good transition to the present.
#Loving the #beautifulcooltune #workitout from @defleppard !!
💜💝♥️💖
Slang is still my favorite Lep album! Love it!
I love it also!Always have,always will.
No idea why they got so much flak for this album. It was more original than Adrenalize
@@brendendesimone9278 probably because it was different, 90's, and without Mutt Lange.
It was a very personal album for me because I was going through relationship issues and these songs hit the spot especially this one, Smile by Pearl Jam, and Wonderwall
Readjusting the time line--------2019 This would and should easily be a #1 rock song of the day!
2002 September... still rocks.
Thank you Def leppard
I watched this song for the first time in 1996 when I was young man. Still hearing this song like fuel in 2018. Years gone song still pure gold. #fromIndia
What an underappreciated song
I remember I was about 10 years old when this album came out and I was thinking "look at these old men". Now I'm like.. They were in their 30's!? Love the song, anyway.
Love this song so much ❤️🎸🎤
The younger ones don't know real rock roll band simply rock like Def Leppard 🎉❤
Def Leppard fucking rocks!
I'm your fan, love you def Leppard, from Mexico!!! 💕
WOW AMAZING SONG & LOVE THE CHANGE UP ON VOCALS!🕸🖤🕸🎸🕸🎤🕸🎸🕸🌻🕸🔥🕸✌🕸🦋🕸💣🕸🎼
Even though I didn't know this song until the 2000's, the sound and feel of this song really takes me back to the 90's. ^_^ It's also one of my favorite songs and videos by Def Leppard. :)
This was an unexpected but great sound - I really enjoyed the darker, edgier sound
Has anyone noticed the gutar leads sound like a of the intro of Gods of war
yes...relive the 90's !!! great stuff
I love this song and Joe's voice is excellent in this range! HOTT!!!! Thanks for sending this.
My favourite def leppard song 🤩
Una De Las Mejores Canciones De Def Leppard.
Woah, i could never imagine Def Leppard with an alternative, droney shoegaze sound. Reminds me of My Bloody Valentine. Oh well. "Hair-ternative" at its best!
Underated album...

Another good song from Def leppard
Really love this tune (I’ve recently purchase this album again in its deluxe edition) but each time I hear this song I can’t help hearing it as a crossover between Seal (Crazy) and the Gilmour sound of a Momentary Lapse of Reason! Yet, at the end, that’s a nice mix! 😄
this is a very underrated song I LOVE THIS SONG
i totally agree!!! 80's Bands are the best!!! and there musice is timeless!! DEF LEPPARD 4 LIFE!!!
I saw these guys for the first time on the Slang tour. They were great.
Joe sounds great. Def Leppard was my 2nd concert, Hysteria Tour
My life long hard core crush, Joe Elliott. I'll be seeing them Fri the 16th in Salt lake.
Esta es una de mis bandas favoritas.
Great song and the very best band ever!!!
Great tune, Viv 🤙
collective Soul style of guitar
I like this sounds of The strings of The guitars ❤
Great song just another great. Thanks
Love it
I still remember it clearly when it came out in the late 90's, doing rounds on MTV...
Wow. I love this song. Killer vibe.
Great Powerful Song WOW AMAZING 🖤
This is a great song I love it ☺🤙❤
These Guys are Awesome🖤🥀👄
I love this song. Such a great vibe to it.
Love song but great way to see reality for what reality really is. Thanks a million can relate
I first heard this song 6 years ago when I started college and it’s been my favourite slang song since
This song is ageless
Mid-90s probably had the most comfortable clothing of any era
Its alwez been a fav song!
I remember hearing this on the radio at night a lot and having no idea it was Def Leppard.
one of my favs from this album. But from what i read when they did this cd with the change in sound fans didnt really like it then. but grow to like the cd now.
MI cancion favorita junto a "Rocks Off"
Always love this

I love the thickness of Joe's voice in this one.....Speaking of voices, Joe has said he'd love to be guest voice on the Simpson's, Let's Let Fox know We Feel The Same!.......Diana in Greencastle
love his voice in this register
Damn, how this song was the theme of a relationship I was in 1996-97
It's Time. I think I can. I think I can. I think I can. 🔥(I don't remember Pensacola)
A grunge song. Excellent!
Viv brought a great song with him when joined the Leps
this kind of music should and must be the one which has the right to be shown or played in the airways not the commercialized beaver kind which should be censored.
this is one of their hit song from their album "slang" way back in 1996.
❤❤❤
Thirteen years of ago I heard about Def Leppard
I thought this was done in 95. I watched the DVD Rock of Ages and they did the Slang vid the next day in the studio next door. Maybe I misunderstood. Oh darn I will just have to watch that DVD again. I am REALLY going to HATE TO DO THAT! LOL
My fuel song...
The best

Remind me U2 Achtung Baby 👌
I love work it out
