I give you guys a lot of credit for running again after all the controversy from the year before. That can't have been easy. As if running a marathon (at 7 years old or any dang age) isn't hard enough already! And all that rain and the flooding...I think Rainier will still be telling this story when he is "very very old." 😉

The growth in his experience from last year to this year is incredible!!! & his reaction to you saying "did you know there's no place id rather be right now than doing this with you" made me tear up!! this is what life is all about.
Maybe this should just become the Rainier running channel now! What an accomplishment for you all, especially in those conditions. The couple hours of pain build a lifetime of memories, accomplishments, and grit. I love that you all still use the same running uniform each year!

I will never understand those who blasted the race creators and your family, saying that this boy was forced or coerced to do this and how harmful this was to him. I see nothing of the sorts! Rainier is a boy who is incredibly wise and intelligent for his age. He is witty and funny and imaginative and realist in all the greatest ways. He challenges us to reshape our thinking and I love it! Keep running marathon boy! Or don’t! Whichever you choose, may you do it with your whole heart and continue to be brave along the way. 💛🤙🏽

@Nery_Nery no like last time he ran and tbe people took it away cause they thought hexwas to little to run thatsxwhatvi am saying but ok
@@littlebigkicker the rules of the race didn't use to allow under 18 year olds to run. A few years back they changed the rules because of the Crawfords. But because the situation with Rainier brought so much attention and negative feedback, the race put back its rule.
If you notice, Rainier isn't wearing a number on his shirt. Meaning he was never signed into the race! He just ran the course but was never signed up. So he probably would not have a medal and that's probably why Ben gave him his own.
Rainier run a full marathon and he is still suck his thumb!!!! No hate here, I thought it's funny!
