Congratulations on selling your first design! I can't wait to see your products come to life! I bought the OLO early and when I tried them, they bled pretty bad. I tried Neenah 80, 110, and Hammermill 100# coated smooth. I haven't used them since, but I have some xpressit and will try that. Thank you for the tip. In an illustration like yours, the bleeding can be camouflaged, doing a CAS with a simple critter...can't have the bleed. It's not that the marker is juicy...it's the formula. Could be the viscosity or their choice of carrier for colorant. Crossing my fingers the marker paper helps.

It was one of the colors I did not get into when I bought my first round of OLOS a few weeks ago. I’m going to be buying some more so I’ll be taking advantage of your code. Woohoo for you - go, Kelly!!! I can only imagine your excitement at seeing something you created with your own hands from your own mind being made into a stamp set. I used to paint landscapes, & my final painting was a commission by a friend I'd gone through school with of a photo her husband had taken at the Grand Canyon. It was a large-ish painting (I think about 24x30" or so), and took me about 2-1/2 - 3 months to finish. I can remember the near terror in the beginning stages, just being frustrated by initial difficulties, afraid I wouldn't be able to do this and do it well, etc. It was especially stressful because it was going to be an anniversary present from my friend to her husband, so I felt pressured to do an outstanding job. Thankfully, everything did work out, and they loved it! So I think I can understand some of your stress with the process. I had never painted anything as grand as the Grand Canyon (very aptly named, btw!), & had never done a commission like that, so it came with frustrations. But I pushed through, & it turned out great! It's funny, because now, 10 years later, I can still look at a photo of that painting & think, "Damn, I did good work on that!" LOL I am proud of you for pushing through on your illustration/stamp set creation process, too. And I'm sure you did good work on it! :) I love how your coloring came out with your piece today. I'm not interested in alcohol markers, but the "Exciting News" was what made me watch. And I'm glad I did. :) Thank you for sharing. I originally purchased all of the Spectrum Noirs, then wanted a brush so purchased all of the Ohuhu markers, and finally most of the Copics! Can you tell I have a problem? 😁 We won't mention the watercolor markers! Sigh Congrats Kelly!

Btw, I did have a question! lol I heard you mention a while back that you had tried the Spectrum Noir tri-blend markers. What was your opinion? I know they're not exactly on the professional level that the Copics are, so I expect you probably just moved on, etc... Exciting news about your stamp design! Congratulations! This design is beautiful! The cards I’ve seen done with olo’s have really vibrant colors. The texture of expressit paper feels a lot like yupo paper. Or as my granddaughter said, plastic. She wanted something stamped on paper not plastic. It’s a really nice paper to work on. Hammermil paper also has the same smooth surface. Makes blending and stamping way easier.

I actually don’t get the saving on plastic. If you could refill the cartridge from a larger refill and get multiple refills, you would be saving on plastic. Otherwise you are still chucking out the cartridge and just saving the nibs… seems clever marketing, but when you weigh it up, there is the same, if not more plastic wastage….. unless they are able to be recycled?

Congratulations! Love the card. I don’t mind the review element but it’s really disconcerting for the visible end of the marker to be the “wrong” colour. Is it possible to switch caps or something if you use them again please
I purchased the markers when and before they came on the market. The only real draw back is that they really haven't explained their numbering system/color. I called the company because I thought it was just me and I must be stupid, but when I called the company they assured me that I wasn't stupid or crazy and they were working on how to explain the system.
First, congratulations on your stamp design! How exciting for you. I did have a question about the markers. I noticed that you started with coloring your flowers then did the leaves. I have always heard to do your reds last because of how easily the bleed. Did you find that the reds in these Olo markers were less susceptible to bleeding than other alcohol markers?

How exciting!! Can't wait to see the stamp set! Those markers look amazing but I am pretty much markered out, 😆 but may order a few of the colors I don't have with Copics. I originally purchased all of the Spectrum Noirs, then wanted a brush so purchased all of the Ohuhu markers, and finally most of the Copics! Can you tell I have a problem? 😁 We won't mention the watercolor markers! Sigh Congrats Kelly!
First CONGRATULATIONS, you deserve the best of the best. I watch you in awe. I can't draw even a stick person, nor can I use my 100+ Copics. When using alcohol markers they bleed on me. I have such a heavy hand and now a shakey hand that I just watch your talents and dream of being a colorist. Thank you for every video and all your hard work.💎

This design is beautiful! The cards I’ve seen done with olo’s have really vibrant colors. The texture of expressit paper feels a lot like yupo paper. Or as my granddaughter said, plastic. She wanted something stamped on paper not plastic. It’s a really nice paper to work on. Hammermil paper also has the same smooth surface. Makes blending and stamping way easier.
Where does the pre-order line for your new stamp design start? I'm so excited for you! I'm also excited for all of us to get the chance to make some beautiful cards with it! Thanks for reviewing the OLOs. I usually work with Tri Blends so using multiple colors in 1 pen is habit for me.

I actually don’t get the saving on plastic. If you could refill the cartridge from a larger refill and get multiple refills, you would be saving on plastic. Otherwise you are still chucking out the cartridge and just saving the nibs… seems clever marketing, but when you weigh it up, there is the same, if not more plastic wastage….. unless they are able to be recycled?

Love the card. I don’t mind the review element but it’s really disconcerting for the visible end of the marker to be the “wrong” colour. Is it possible to switch caps or something if you use them again please
I purchased the markers when and before they came on the market. The only real draw back is that they really haven't explained their numbering system/color. I called the company because I thought it was just me and I must be stupid, but when I called the company they assured me that I wasn't stupid or crazy and they were working on how to explain the system.

First, congratulations on your stamp design! How exciting for you. I did have a question about the markers. I noticed that you started with coloring your flowers then did the leaves. I have always heard to do your reds last because of how easily the bleed. Did you find that the reds in these Olo markers were less susceptible to bleeding than other alcohol markers?
