We saw glimpses of it more here and there in untitled/ neighborhood's, but AVA allowed to more creative control. I think that's why California sounded more like a return to TOYPAJ/enema, Mark went back to that sound with more humor and joke songs after tom left. I could be wrong, but that's how ive thought of it.

did you slow marks voice down just a tad bit? the “ 16 just held such better days” part sounds really really good in this it almost sounds like you slowed his voice down. 2:01 to 2:15 is pure gold. i wanna hear just that part turned into a catchy edm song.
